The thing is that the expectation and anticipation on Laycon was off the roof. They expected him to just be like MI and Vector as soon as he stepped out of the show. It's difficult being a rapper in this part of the world except you are adding Yoruba lyrics like Olamide/ Dagrin or adding Igbo like Phyno...

Even the Mode9 wasn't commercially viable in Nigeria.

Cut Laycon some slack and allow the young man grow at his pace. When did he leave the show and is already expected to drop the world's best hits. Hian.

You put too much on this guy. I know most of you support him because of his poor background and because of his struggle but unfortunately, he has choosing career which is vastly growing. Even some great singers are fading away. Music has passed that level at which the guy is singing. It would have been great if we are still in the era of "Nigeria jagajaga, my car etc." 10 seconds of listening to his song is enough to know that he's singing in nonsense. However, if he can be consistent in singing those nonsense, he might be relevant for awhile just like Naira Maley et al. All else his music career will soon fade away like slim case. Since he has large numbers of followers on his social media, he can always fall back on that and explore digital marketing

Winning BBNaija does not equal to doing well in entertainment industry. And, not all the ones doing well in the industry came to limelight as a result of winning prizes. Musically, I didn't expect much from him though. I hope he channels the money & energy to something that would be more beneficial to him.
