Aisha,
Your mother is not the same as all Nigerians mothers,
is that understood?

Most girls/ladies best friends are their mothers,
Sisi Yewande of can testify to this.

Your mother sticks with you forever,
But your hubby can leave you anytime after turning your face to the face of one of Anthony Joshua's opponent or did what that Channels TV reporter did to the face of his wife!

So kindly speak for yourself and your family Aisha,
That is your family palava.

Next.......

True that!

I always know you as a sensible person... Me personally I can't do anything without informed my mother.

A good mother that will always stand with you even she know when everything is fine or not. Before I got married I have already told my wife that I dont take my mother joke because after God is next.

her advice is mostly for the ladies but u can also take it, not bad at all. Women who are too attach to their mother is most likely to get divorced especially if their mum is a difficult and easily provoked person compared to those who are kinda matured in their marital home.
you have a point

Rubbish talk! If your Man's Mother or your Mother is wicked it doesn't mean it's so for everyone out there. That my own marriage is a huge success today is because of my Mum. My wife is like a daughter to my Mum. I swear you would never know she's but a daughter in law. The rapport is simply amazing! I bless God for the Mum he gave me. In a nut shell,it depends on the mother involved,it's not a general thing.
You are a sensible person.

I agree...
Instead of involving your parents too often
Which i have seen happy homes crash for trying to satisfy what parents want. ....
Involve God and follow his leadings and leadership.

Mrs hacker keep on hacking into people's privacy like u are perfect.... every human being has a skeleton in their cupboard including u... infact the guy dodged a bullet and should be thankful to God for taking u away from his life... its certain that u are the jealous monitoring spirit type ....what u did is certainly some psycho bi.tch stuff....only a child will do stuff like that, u are definitely not mature enough to handle a relationship... so if u get married ( thats if checking ur partners phones will allow that even happen) and u find some stuff on ur husbands phone, u will leave him too?? Grow up
That person you're quoting isn't a female, he's a male and a scammer, we're all aware of his fraudulent activities on this forum.
Anyways I hacked into my girlfriend's Facebook and saw her messages and found out she has a 70 year old sugar daddy having unprotected sex with her while we were still in a relationship. also found out she had a younger handsome coursemate she used to flirt with and spending my money and her sugar daddy's money on the boy.
This is the girl I intended marrying and that's how she would have risked me with hiv and other STDs, my saving grace was that as a Christian I opted for no sex before marriage.
mehn I was heartbroken.
some women now are not to be trusted and that's how I lost my 5 year ol relationship with her that was headed for marriage.
I actually don't care whatever response you send to me, fact still remains that I got saved through hacking

You people are just missing the whole point...

She didn't say hate, distance, or neglect your mother!!! Rather, let her know her place...

While a mother is supreme, it isn't mandatory, compulsory, or even expedient that she be involved directly or indirectly in the private affairs between husband and wife!!! This is just common sense na!!! What's so hard for you lots to comprehend??!

Even the Bible clearly states that: "For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder."

Any man or woman who can't distinctly and clearly separate or demarcate his immediate family from the extended one is laying a foundation for future and unnecessary issues.

She said the truth here though
If you want your marriage to work out.....You need not to involve your mum into all matters in the relationship......Especially men
.
But I hope she is talking to both gender sha?? sad
She didnt say no truth
she spoke her opinion
and her opinion can not even be subjected to further evaluation bcus people of well structured minds do not stereotype attitudes, emotions, personality, and reasoning
people are wat they are some mothers can be fiendish in the Children's marriage while some are a blessing

or a you saying Your mom will also be a pain in your marriage?

She is very correct but not entirely correct there are some mothers that are good like my own mother and their are some bad mothers too those are the ones you keep out of your marriage I'm talking of the troublesome over bearing ones who likes to be in charge in their sons lives dictating what to do or what not to be done, the over possessive moms
The best comment on this issue..

You are missing the whole point...

Friendship with a mother or father in-law is one thing, having them know their place is another... Marriage is way too sacred and private to be turned into an extension of one's extended family.

Trust me, even those few men and women that have very cordial relationships with their in-laws still don't fully fancy constant interference into the privacy of their homes by them.

It's simply a question of setting up proper boundaries... This is where a lot of couples fail woefully, especially men!!!
