seanwilliam:I wonder why some people talk as if they know it all. He said he's neither superior nor inferior to anyone and you're here saying tah. For your information, we are all equal in the face of DEATH(This alone is a pointer to his claim). |

| Re: Do You Really Believe In Destiny? by Sent4rina: 5:11pm On Dec 13, 2020 |

Sent4rina:To be honest, I do not know what it means exactly but I suppose it should be along the lines of destiny as well. Truth be told, a great part of the beauty of Yoruba language had been lost. Hence the ineffectiveness when communicating in the language. Might we try splitting the components as we did with Àyànmó?; Ká (We should) dà rá (buy individually). Like something each must obtain/buy/purchase by himself/herself. I may be very wrong though, as I've previously stated I'm not an authority on the matter. Bless your curiosity ma'am, hope you find that which you seek. -Lloyd |

Truthissupreme:And that is not a contradiction? How do you justify that? A scriptwriter is the destiny-maker, not the characters. |
| Re: Do You Really Believe In Destiny? by Sent4rina: 5:36pm On Dec 13, 2020 |
kumulus:Thanks. The dynamics of Yoruba language can't be overemphasized. I think what Àyànmó ni Kádàrá means is "What will be will be". Something like, Qué Sera Sera. I for one belief in destiny and predestination. We can alter it through some metaphysical force. The world we live in is vast and concentrated beyond our reasoning. |

Truthissupreme:You just said my mind the O.P was on point too. Using the movie analogy There is a Master Script and we all are actors or pawn in the divine scheme of things so if you are destiny to be rich u will be even if you drop out and go to Prison infact that prison u went is how you gonna make money in life. The choice we make can offset a different course of reality. That's why destiny is tied with time. If one can go back in time and change a certain important decisive event in time it will change the course or path of one destiny. How do we know we have free will yes we have the ability to choose yes or no why don't we think the answer we choose is also part of destiny life as a whole is rule by certain uncontrollable phenomenon. Chance, fate, destiny, time, Luck |

I believe life is a function of the choices we make. |

iamDrRhymes:Do not be deceived! Destiny exists: You do not have to be a Christian to ponder over these words in Ecclesiastes 9:11 “I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, not the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.'' |

josielewa:Choices translate to fate which in the end is man's destiny....hmm Cheers |
| Re: Do You Really Believe In Destiny? by kumulus(m): 8:14pm On Dec 13, 2020 |
Sent4rina:From josielewa's input, I think àyànmó ni kádàrá would translate loosely as "Choices makes our fate". Hence, putting it in context Que Sera Sera does carry similar undertones, so yes! -Lloyd |

thesilentman:The death of Christ on the cross was as a result of the choices Adam and Eve made in the garden of Eden. If it's destiny, can we now say once again that Adam and Eve were destined to disobey God?! |
| Re: Do You Really Believe In Destiny? by thesilentman(m): 4:39pm On Dec 14, 2020 |
Sunnyja:Wow,i like this question. Some people lament today that if only Adam and Eve did not disobey God,i.e by eating the forbidden fruit.Let me make it clear to you that everything that happens in our world today-whether good or bad-is exactly the way the almighty God wanted it to be.Imagine when there was war in heaven and the devil was casted down to the earth. And for what?To come and be tormenting the people of the earth. Why did God not kill him outrightly? See,if I continue to expose what i know about destiny here, some people will lose interest in God at the end of the day. |

iamDrRhymes:Sorry to say,you have only learnt assumptions.Nobody's destiny is in their hands. They talk about one's destiny being in one's hand. But the fact is that it's this same destiny that pushes you to make the choices you make.We are living in a spiritually programmed world.I can prove to you that everything that is happening in our world today is exactly how God planned it.As human beings,we can only strive and pray for a better life. |
