O my children, brave Nephilim, When shall you learn the truth? Adonai Yahweh nor all his angels Have not one chain's link to bind you Save those that you would forge And put about yourself with full will. No fire is there into which they would cast you Save that which your minds would kindle. They have no authority over man Save that man would, deluded, kneel And acknowledge such illusion of power With which the Elohim would beguile. Why are you led again and again Into that same trap which snared those that came before? What words are there for me to speak By which you would realise this And take care against such deceits?

MaxInDHouse:
Back in the first century the Jews (two southern tribes of Israel) always claim they're the only race practicing pure worship and this has caused a major rift between them and the remaining ten northern tribes of Israelites (Samaritans)
What did Jesus say about this when he arrives as a prophet?
He specified that pure worship has always been with the two southern tribes (Jews) {John 4:19-22} because the Levitical priesthood remains in Jerusalem Temple and they were the tribe assigned to handle the utensils of JEHOVAH, so whatever the northern tribes fabricate as worship in Samaria can't gain God's approval.
The Samaritans were claiming that since they're also Jacob's descendants Jehovah will not ignore their worship but Jesus emphatically told them that they are wrong and because of this they refused to welcome him as a prophet! Luke 9:51-56

Pharisees, Sadducees, Scribes and other Jewish rabbis had disciples and they do preach {Matthew 23:15} John the baptist was Jesus' forerunner as a prophet, he also had disciples and they also preach and teach but what did John himself told his disciples to do when he discovered that Jesus is already forming another group? He quickly directed his faithful and loyal disciples to Jesus {John 1:29-39} did you notice how John introduced Jesus to his disciples? He directed their attention to Jesus!

So nobody is here dragging with you that it's only preaching and teaching that's significant with the true Christian group, there are many signs Jesus foretold will help honest hearted and sincere individuals to IDENTIFY his group when Satan succeeded in establishing multiple fake groups as Christians.

Going by all those composite signs and marks Jehovah's Witnesses stood out as the one and only group measuring up to the standard. Of course some will be stumbled as they look for faults and complaints against pure worship, it happened to Jesus himself but that doesn't implies that God will justify all the forms of worship the Jews established in his name. The same is applicable today God will not approve all the religions claiming Christians simply because they're singing, clapping and dancing in Jesus' name.
That's why Jesus substantiate extensively on the signs that will help interested persons to IDENTIFY his true followers in the endtime!
So far so good you've continue to preach against Jehovah's Witnesses only when you supposed to introduce, present, direct, point, show, tell your audience the name of the group with which you worship, rather you're posting the pictures of another group just to prove that what JWs are doing should not be taken as seriously since others are doing likewise.
You can imagine a first century critic who wants to debunk Jesus and his group only to start pointing to Pharisees and Sadducees as examples of groups making disciples, but refused to talk about the group with which he himself worship.
So rottennaija, are you a worshiper of God?
If so tell us the group with which you worship and the reasons you think they're performing better than this group you're always advertising on Nairaland! smiley
Maximus69, Jesus didn't "specified that pure worship has always been with the two southern tribes (Jews) {John 4:19-22}". But he said the origin of salvation was with the Jews.

But what is more interesting is that Jesus didn't direct the woman to Jerusalem or to the Mountains. Jesus himself wasn't worshiping in this supposed abode of "pure worship". He didn't direct the woman to the Jews. Heck, he didn't even bother showing the woman in the words of Maximus69 "a better performing group".

I would have thought Jesus, the all wise and loyal servant of God would have directed the woman to at least Jworg (if not himself). But he didn't. He simply told the woman some simple truth... that a time will come where neither in Jerusalem or in the Mountain will people worship the Father. But instead, the time will come when true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth. Because those are whom the father is looking to worship him.

Did you miss the above point between verses 21-24? If course, you did. Because it doesn't sit well your your naive and narrow view of worship. So Maximus69, I'm not going to direct you to any group. They are 100s or 1000s out there, carrying out unique functions in amazing ways with lots of smiling adherents shooting photos with Jworg at the background.

Then again, Jesus never mentioned pure worship in any of his saying. It's just you and your false religion that forces your fake idea of today to events of 2000 years ago. It's like saying that Jesus spoke about Jworg when such ideas or concept exist only today.

Infact MaxInDHouse, the very notion of pure worship is misleading and false. There has never been pure worship. Pure is something unmixed and untainted. When you say something is pure, it's perfect. Nothing of that nature ever existed as long as imperfect humans are concerned. The bible never mentions it. Jesus himself never claimed pure worship, humans cannot have pure worship. It's only JWs and watchtower who has rejected Jesus as a mediator has claimed it.

And come to think of it, the Jews had rejected Jesus while Jesus was on earth. How could they have pure worship when they had rejected the very messiah? How could they have pure worship when they have a history of unfaithfulness and idol worship?

MaxInDHouse, how could JWs have pure worship when every 10 years, their beliefs keep changing back and forth? Keep deceiving yourselves. In fact, in the day judgement, the church goers have a much better chance than JWs who chose to follow the gb over the bible.

MaxInDHouse, you don't worship Jehovah or Jesus. JWs don't measure up to any bible standard, even the simplest among them. They run a false and fake religion that has more interest in appearance than reality. MaxInDHouse, you practice idolatry. You worship Watchtower and its governing body.
Re: Thinking Of Joining Jehovah’s Witnesses? Watch This First!!! by MaxInDHouse(m):
Hmmmmm the woman's question is clearly understood our fathers (Samaritans) worship on this mountain (Gerrizin) but you Jews (referring to Jesus' own tribes) are saying "Jerusalem is the ideal place"

Clearly this woman wants to know if what the Jews have been claiming was true! undecided

Jesus first explained that the Jews had the truth then he went further telling the woman that the scene is about to change because pure worship will not depend on geographical location anymore. But you said Jesus did not worship with the Jews in Jerusalem, well that's not true because several times Jesus visited the Temple and synagogues of the Jews he never entered into the temple of the Samaritans, in fact he asked his followers to go first to the Jews only not Samaritans! Matthew 10:5-6

But all these is fruitless arguments Sir, if you're saying JWs are wrong please present a better performing group or are you saying people shouldn't worship together as Christians? embarassed
If you think Christians should worship together and it's not all religious groups claiming Christians that's true, then you should be able to point out a better performing group of Christians otherwise what you're saying is that people shouldn't worship together as Christians again! embarassed

MaxInDHouse , let me drag you back ...

While the region was called Samaria (it was conquered and the inhabitant displaced or wiped out in what is genocide today), it was occupied by northern 10 tribe that choose to worship in the region (mountain). The other 2 southern tribes worshipped in the temple. They were still Jesus people, descendant of Jacob. The Nation of Israel, Abraham's seed were made of 12 tribes. So all were Jesus people.

Clearly this woman wants to know if what the Jews have been claiming was true! undecided

Jesus first explained that the Jews had the truth then he went further telling the woman that the scene is about to change because pure worship will not depend on geographical location anymore.
Then, if the Jews had the truth, why did Jesus not continue with their teachings and practices? Why did Jesus start having his disciples and baptizing them? I guess you do not know that in the eyes of the Jews religious leaders (governing body), Jesus was a heretics, a deserter and an apostate.

I am honestly beginning to wonder if this is all the organization can offer you people. Do you know what worship is and what it involves? Was Jesus offering sacrifices in Jerusalem or did he approach the Priest or High Priest to offer atonement on his behalf?

It was at the start of Jesus ministry that he did anything that could resemble worship in the temple, and that was after his baptism. He went into the temple, read from the scroll of Isaiah and applied it to himself. But just 2 verse above it, says "Also, he began to teach in their synagogues, and he was held in honor by all." (Lu 4: 15-30)

Jesus was already teaching in the synagogue. But was he teaching Judaism? Was Judaism the truth MaxInDHouse? Jesus was the truth, not Judaism, not even Christianity. Jesus was teaching not, making disciples and he was teaching something contrary to Judaism. Let say I walked into the Kingdom Hall and went to the platform, picked up the bible, reads it and start teaching the members of the congregation. Is that me worshiping in the Kingdom hall?

Or let's say i go into assembly hall during assembly, or bethel and start teaching them how Jesus is their mediator and how they should accept it, I hope you know the Elders and CO will call police on me, that is if they have not physically assaulted me before the police comes (compare with Lu 4: 28-30)

Re: Thinking Of Joining Jehovah’s Witnesses? Watch This First!!! by MaxInDHouse(m):
The woman's question needed to be addressed first "our fathers worship on this mountain but you people (Jews) say Jerusalem is the ideal place"
John 4:20
Jesus need to answer her on that, so he told her that Jerusalem's Temple is where God's people should worship according to the law and prophets. But since Jews themselves have profane God's temple by killing his prophets in Jerusalem {Matthew 23:37-38} there is need for change! smiley

Jesus actually worshiped with the Jews not as one who's sin needs attornment but as the greater Highpriest. Note that the Highpriest will attone first for his own sin then for the people, since Jesus was born without sin he doesn't need such attonement and he never condemned it because it must continue until he finishes his assignment so that the new covenant could be established, until then the old covenant is still at work, that's why he told the people "whatever the Pharisees tell you to do, do but don't follow their attitude" {Matthew 23:2-3} So as a Jew who knew the laws of their God and it's practical applications perfectly he is qualified to teach in the Temple!

Today thousands of different religious groups have established their forms of worship so nobody has the right to walk into a place of worship to intercept their teachings, if you feel that what a religion teaches is wrong, you can visit the adherents in their homes to present the what you know to them {Matthew 10:11-13} not going to disrupt their worship while they have converged for a purpose best known to them. The Jews back then allowed Jesus preach in the Temple because of what they've heard about him how he's been healing people everywhere he goes and they know that's a sign that their God approves of what such a person is doing!
Jesus did not send his followers to go and intercept the worship of the Jews inside their temple or synagogues. WHY? Note that before he sent them out he has had issues with the religious teachers already so his teachings is under ban {John 9:22} after his resurrection which the Jews never believe till now Jesus' followers have to add this to their teachings as well, so they can't walk into their temple to preach about the resurrection of an impostor that's why they can only meet in the homes of their members.
So you can form you own group you have no right to walk into any place of worship to disrupt their worship because the people meeting there knows how their form of worship should go, no stranger should walk in and demand to teach them, even a toddler in the Kingdom Hall will walk you out of the premises. You're free to discuss with anyone outside their place of worship! smiley

Love that you highlighted not the Samaritans in Max's post. From his post, do not go into the SAMARITAN CITY equates to NOT SAMARITANS but Jews only

The Bible he cited Matthew 10:5,6 stated they should seek the LOST SHEEP of the HOUSE OF ISRAEL.

The Jews has all of a sudden become the LOST SHEEP of the HOUSE of ISRAEL. He should tell us in what CITY did Jesus preached to the woman at the well? What happened immediately thereafter? Since do not go into SAMARITAN CITY means NOT SAMARITANS

When you ask thought provoking questions like this you should know that Jehovah's Witnesses will be obliged to answer you so don't hesitate to direct such questions to me.
Please let's analyse the phrase~

"Lost sheep of the house of Israel" a sheep is a domestic animal that's always in need of a shepherd and/or it's kind to do anything. Without the shepherd or the flock a sheep feels empty and lost.
So that phrase refers to Israelites who are yearning for guidance on how to gain divine approval on the worship they render before God, where such should be done and with whom? The Samaritans fall short of this requirement because they knew the history of God's Temple in Jerusalem, how King Jeroboam decided to split the worship by building another Temple in Samaria in opposition to the one at Jerusalem so any right thinking Samaritans will never feel comfortable with the idea. That's why the lady (though promiscuous) wants to know for sure if God ever approves the counter~worship that's been going on in Samaria for centuries or not. John 4:19-20
That's why Jesus specifically ordered his followers to go only to the Jews because even the Samaritans know that the worship going on in their imitation Temple is fake after all no true prophet of God has ever supported it.
Elijah is from Samaria yet he frankly told them that the worship going on in Samaria is illegal! undecided

What happened immediately thereafter? Since do not go into SAMARITAN CITY means NOT SAMARITANS
It was later after incessant criticism kept coming from the Jews that Jesus decided to extend the invitation to gather the remaining of the first fruit of God's kingdom from Samaria {Matthew 22:8-9} the Samaritans welcomed him because for centuries no true prophet has ever taken them serious instead it's condemnation always due to their false worship. So when Jesus (a Jewish prophet) now came to them they welcomed him wholeheartedly {John 4:40} but when they discovered that he also believe in the supremacy of Jerusalem Temple and it's worship despite the ill-treatment he is getting from the Jews they turned against him! Luke 9:51-53
But Jesus was going back there to fulfill what the scriptures foretold, because the Messiah must be condemned amongst his own people (Jews) undecided
May you have PEACE! smiley

You asked a question and that demands an answer so even though you're an Apostate my refusal to attend to such thought provoking question will not speak well of my faith if ignored most especially when it's thrown on the social media where other followers are reading through our comments. So don't think this is the time to ignore you, i only ignore you after i'm through supplying satisfying answers that'll convince right thinking followers! smiley

The phrase "Lost sheep of the house of Israel" refer to Israelites who feels the need for spiritual guidance not all Israelites, Jesus said "those who are healthy don't need a physician" {Luke 5:31} it's only those who are conscious of their spiritual needs that Jesus is searching for to select few that will rule with him in heaven not all Israel! {Matthew 5:3} this is what Jesus meant by "little flock" {Luke 12:32} but after the selection of this limited number Jesus will appoint them as overseers to take care of his other sheep! John 10:16

So my guy, i'll continue to respond to questions that may interest other followers ,when you're no more asking sensitive questions i'll go back to the normal phrase "i'm through with you" but for now keep on asking and you'll be fed! Matthew 7:7 wink

So that phrase refers to Israelites............MaxInDHouse

The above is enough grin cheesy grin. Who are the ISRAELITES?

rottennaija wrote........

While the region was called Samaria (it was conquered and the inhabitant displaced or wiped out in what is genocide today), it was occupied by northern 10 tribe of ISRAEL that choose to worship in the region (mountain)

This was my initial question.......tell us in what CITY did Jesus preached to the woman at the well? Since do not go into SAMARITAN CITY means NOT SAMARITANS

For laugh.......

When you ask thought provoking questions like this you should know that Jehovah's Witnesses will be obliged to answer you so don't hesitate to direct such questions to me

Right thinking persons are people who know that difference in beliefs means difference in deities, so when they come across discussions like this they want to know who is consistent with his comments. You've been posting so many things on Nairaland about JWs organization, surely you can never advise anyone to join this group, that means the group is not teaching the truth and if they are not teaching the truth it means there is no salvation there. A right thinking follower will like to know what are the practices of this group that makes them wrong (using the scriptures) and criteria for a performing Christian group, and perhaps you point to one! undecided

Also, Was the samaritan woman conscious of her spiritual needs? Was she a lost sheep of the house of Israel?
Cc. Achorladey
The answer to both question could be found right in the discussion Jesus had with the woman!
she's disturbed over the issue regarding place of worship that's been causing long time disagreement between the Jews and Samaritans!
My guy, that's the spirit!
Surely she's conscious of her spiritual needs and surely a lost sheep of the house of Israel!
Jesus initially thought he would get such response from amongst the Jews who were the custodians of God's inspired writings from Genesis through Malachi but he was disappointed. Though the Samaritans debunked all other prophets since all of them always refer worshipers to Jerusalem's Temple but it's obvious they're more receptive than Jews! John 4:42
Take note that Jesus never performed any miraculous works apart from the same message he brought to his own people (which was backed with great miraculous works) yet this Samaritans believed him. So there were many lost sheep found in Samaria than amongst the Jews, Jesus was highly disappointed! Matthew 21:19 smiley

What can I do but (check the image below). After all the cycling lengthy response. The final analysis is

1. The woman is one of the lost sheep of the house of ISRAEL.

2. The woman lives in the cities of the Samaritans.

3. The woman was a Samaritan

4. Your DON'T GO INTO SAMARITAN CITY is not EQUAL TO, DO NOT PREACH TO SAMARITANS as you used Matthew 10:5,6 to support your assertions.

5. The lost sheep of the house of ISRAEL is scattered all over including in the Samaritan cities.

6. Hope you remember this..........That's why Jesus specifically ordered his followers to go only to the Jews........emphasis ONLY THE JEWS

What should we make of the words in bold since the LOST SHEEP OF THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL is scattered all over? grin grin grin cheesy and not restricted to the JEWS?

7. A gentile who is conscious of his spiritual needs can we also call that GENTILE one of the lost sheep of the house of ISRAEL?

Re: Thinking Of Joining Jehovah’s Witnesses? Watch This First!!! by MaxInDHouse(m): 6:46pm On Dec 15, 2020
The highlighted!

Paul's letter made us understand that the title "Jew" shouldn't be taken literally amongst the Christians, Jesus used the phrase "lost sheep of the house of Israel" both meant the same thing spiritually speaking.
Those who are conscious of their spiritual needs will not just think of circumcision of the body alone but that of the heart {Romans 2:28-29} they will be highly concerned about what God's people does as a global family that distinguish them from other people!
So a person can be an Israelite by birth but not one of the lost SHEEP OF THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL or SPIRITUAL JEWS that Jesus was gathering in the first century!
They are the ones Paul referred to as the Israel of God {Galatians 6:16} or the New Jerusalem {Revelations 3:12} Zechariah prophesied that ten men from the nations will hold the skirt of a JEW saying "we will go with you people because we've heard that God is with you people" {Zechariah 8:23} That's why over 8,700,000 are strongly holding onto the Born Again Christians amongst whom the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses are serving as (representatives) the faithful and discreet slave today, feeding Jehovah's Sheep globally {Matthew 24:45} we believe they are the SPIRITUAL JEWS in our own time!

Do you still have further questions Sir? wink

When he was here he served as God's spokesman {Matthew 17:5} but before his departure he foretold that during the endtime false prophets and teachers will abound and mislead many {Matthew 24:11} but there will be the faithful and discreet slave group that will serve just as his Apostles did back in the first century after Jesus' ascension to heaven {Matthew 24:45} so in his own time he served as the light but after his departure his true followers served as the light {Matthew 5:13-16} today over 8,700,000 people from different races under the sun have identified the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses as the foretold Faith and Discreet slave body acting as Jesus' Apostles of our own time!

These are the same people who always come around to PREACH and TEACH in their respective neighbourhood about the Kingdom of their God.
Regarding the smiles and laughter in their faces well it's a typical reflection of their God, it's like the Bible refer to a kind of God as the happy God {1Timothy 1:11} Note what Apostle Paul said in connection with this so called happy God "the glorious good news" So it's not just a show or parade of laughing faces, when JWs converge in one place and see so many people from different races who also have the same believe as in line of thought with us {1Corinthians 1:10} despite the ill-treatment we get from most people due to our faith the bliss just come to our minds naturally and we can't just keep it inside at the sight of hundreds and thousands of people all worshiping our God as one big and happy family of peace loving worshipers, there's no doubt about it we can see the Paradise already as peace loving people are surfacing globally. Hebrew 11:1
The Psalmist said "everlasting life is the gift God had in stock for PEACE LOVING people like this!" Psalms 133:1-3 compared to 37:9-11
