I would wait till I get to Canada

I would buy a humble Samsung to use for the first couple of months... After which most networks would let me get a phone with a plan. They usually won't give a phone or contract in your first month except you have a cosigner.

Then I'd leave my naija sim in the humble phone in case I need to receive verification messages for bank transfers, etc.

Good evening everyone,
I’m currently an intern pharmacist and I’ll like to know the job prospects for pharmacist in canada after passing the exams and what province is the best to settle into considering how easy it would be to find a job as a pharmacist?

I would also like to ask my senior colleagues in the house if the move to Canada was worth all the exam stress
Job prospects is not all that good for new Pharmacists entering into the system. Those trained in Canada have better chances though as they build strong networks through intern positions. This has been the case for the past 3 years or so.

If you decide to stay in a big city to start off your career, you could get locum or casual hours for a while. If you are very lucky, you may be able to secure a full time position from some of those locum roles. To easily secure full time positions, you may have to move to rural locations where you can build your experience, then start applying to jobs in cities from there. This applies to all provinces.

Wages: check PayScale, Indeed and Glassdoor. This also varies by location and number of hours worked, but FT hours are somewhere between 85k to 100k. If you pick up extra hours or work locum with your FT. You could earn between 110k-120k. Additional bonus of around 10k if you work FT is also common.

If you own your own practice, average is $135k and up.

I am so sorry you have to go through this in the hands of an agent when you can actually do it yourself. All the information you need is on www.cic.gc.ca and you can also get useful tips @ www.canadastaytips.com. Reach out to me if you have specific question. I wish you success.
please are you an immigrant already at Canada?
If yes, can I message you please?. I need complete guidance on this journey.

I have a new place at Doon south drive. Walking distance to Conestoga college. It's available now. I can pick you at the airport if we're able to cut a deal.
Let me know.

Good day everyone, please seeing how difficult getting a direct flight to ottawa is, what are the ways one can get there after landing in Toronto? Also must one stay in Airbndb for the 14 days quarantine? Can't it be in a shared apartment with one person?.
Also regarding the test for covid before flying how is it done please, how can one get it and is it really a must? I'm very scared of it!
Your response would be highly appreciated.

you take local flight to Ottawa, quarantine rules are on the website https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/services/publications/diseases-conditions/2019-novel-coronavirus-information-sheet.html. Canada does not require covid test to come in

Hello all, with a good number of folks working from home due to COVID-19, you can claim back some of your home office expenses from the CRA. Review the info at the link below, and also talk to your accountant/tax advisor. All the best.

do a second degree and learn french instead of looking for one assylum route. You have to get to usa first and cross by land as canada wont give visit visa. Will usa also give you Likely no
Brother I'm not crossing anywhere oh... I'm not mad like that. Actually I have a name withheld who works directly with high commission and NGO affiliated with Canada Immigration. The NGO is the only organisation in power to certify an individual to be granted asylum in Canada and grants the visa and resident permit etc. They serve as a referee to the person(s). Fortunately one of the people in charge has a close relationship with me.

So hence my question, if anyone has gone through the asylum route, what's life like there after landing and several months after. And what the construction industry is like for a graduate professional immigrant?

Are you in Nigeria? It is likely going to be difficult to use the asylum route if you aren't near or in Canada.

So Yada Yada Yada I just might have a good chance since I am...

Hence my question of life as an immigrant after landing. What it is like? And nature of the construction industry for a graduate professional like myself.
