Generally having an upfront medical fastens your application, however, an upfront medical isn't a guaranty for application approval, for me, I just took a step of faith and went ahead after 2-3 months of not hearing from them.

Well yeah, of course getting an upfront medicals is no guarantee that the application will be approved.

However I seem to remember you mentioning you were waiting for your Medicals requests and I suggested you get an upfront, because that’s what I did. Then looking at your timeline and the time it took for the Medicals to be updated and the date of final decision, I was just wondering if you had done the Medicals immediately after application (like I did), if that would have affected the timing of your decision, approval or not.

But truth is, I got an upfront medicals almost two months ago and up till now, no decision. So I’m thinking it may not necessarily have any role to play on the timeline for processing the application.

Actually, I’m just asking to know what you think, so we can all learn from each other’s experiences.

Good afternoon guys, hope everybody is doing fine

Please o I have few questions

1). Must you pay your full tuition before travelling?

2). Are they asking tuition receipt from pple who have started schooling from Nigeria or is it applicable to everyone even though u are starting school in january? I only paid tuition deposit and my school has not said anything about me paying my full tuition. I even mailed them about it but no response

3) for pple who are to resume in jan and haven't paid their tuition, in other words, haven't gotten their enrollment letter will it be a problem?

4). Has anyone who used another airline to get to Canada bn asked for the enrollment letter? Cos it seems it's only pple using Ethiopian airline that has shared this experience.

Please, abeg make una help me answer these questions. Make person for know wetin to do bikonu

Sorry for the questions. Who has an idea about Candorehttps://www.canadorecollege.ca/programs/project-management-information-technology and Durham College(https://durhamcollege.ca/programs/project-management#tabOverview)? Both are DLI schools, are they good enough for a study permit. I had done the research and saw they have good reviews but will like a second opinion from the house. Noth are graduate certifcate

But it stated that they tried to deliver but their premises was closed.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by riqblaze(m): 1:13pm On Dec 17, 2020
I submitted my passport on Monday to VFS in Lagos, using DHL. They sent me an email yesterday with instructions on how to track my application and today, I'm getting this when I track it. What does this mean, please, and what do I do next?

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by hope4brym: 1:15pm On Dec 17, 2020
My recommendation will be: go for a Postgraduate program, whether PGD or PGCert. Also have in mind that a 2-year program will earn you a 3-year Post work visa, which is ample time to process your PR.

Bro I have a 2.2 in Biochemistry, I’m working towards serving in a food company for my NYSC program hence I’m applying for food science or something related! Now here’s my question since I can’t apply into an MSc program, can I apply for either PGD, PGcert or Advance diploma? Cos I usually see these three all the time.

Also, what are the chances of getting the visa and also, what reason will I give in my SOP? Thanks in anticipation.

Upfront medicals expedite the process like jumping one process ahead but doesn't guarantee approval I can remember @adeenzo saying he submitted his application on the 7th of September 2020 and eligibility review started on the 8th of September 2020 so his eligibility review has been on for 2-3months until he went for UPFRONT MEDICAls in November which was updated to pass November 27 so maybe his study permit has been approved since but IRCC and their too much Applications hasn't requested for medical so he went ahead to do upfront medicals which fasten the process for him.Put this in mind no two Applications are the same and depending on the visa offices they work faster than each other some people submit application after one week it gets denied have seen where they reviewed an application on Friday and the person got denied on monday.and some people also gets approved within a month passing through all those processes different grace for different people relax and pray that's all you need now .It will surely end in praise as always

Hello Justwise,

Requiremnts for the Nigeria Student Express (NSE) Stream

The Nigeria Student Express (NSE) for Canadian study permit specifically designed for Nigerians has recently been launched by IRCC with the processing duration of "20 days" against regular processing time. For the Proof of English Language Proficiency Test, you may decide to opt for either the General or Academic IELTS.

The new study permit application stream is similar with the Student Direct Stream (SDS) for selected countries like India, Senegal, China, Morocco, Pakistan, Philippines and Vietnam but with a tweak in the application requirements against the NSE. The advantage is the fast visa processing. At least, based on current observation of writing this post.

The eligible Nigerian applicants intending to apply through the NSE must meet the following requirements:

1. Apply online

2. Be a Nigerian citizen or legally reside in Nigeria

3. Have a valid admission letter from a Designated Learning Institution in Canada for a Bachelor's, Master's, Ph.D or PGD/C programs

4. Must reside outside when applying

5. Must submit a "MyBankStatement No. & Ticket Password" of $30,000 CAD of at least 6 months with a 12 months banking history

6. Have a Certificat d'acceptation du Québec (CAQ) – Only applicable to students going to Quebec

7. Undergo an upfront medical examination

8. Have a score of at least 6 in each band of Listening, Reading, Writing & Speaking or at least CLB 7 in Test d'evaluation de Francais (TEF) in each band.

N.B: you can either decide to opt for the Regular processing method or the NSE, whichever is your preference.

All the best[/quote]

hello sir/ma, I just want to know if you're deliberately asking these questions or you really want to do apply?

I tire ooo me too that's the same question on my mind ooo these things are basic things on CIC website to get a first hand information from no one that's going to Canada that doesn't know what all these basic things are as they always say if you want to hide something from a black man put it in a book. All these basic things are on the website free of charge then when you not clear on the process you can come back and ask but asking basic things I feel it's like dragging back the process to square one.Its just my opinion though. angry

Hello everyone,
If you plan on using Ethiopian airline, take along your enrollment verification letter, printout your passport data page and ArriveCAN receipt (I showed her mine on my phone, but she said she needs to have a copy) so I had to print out at the airport for 1k.

At the port of Entry in Toronto, they asked for the ArriveCAN receipt, I showed them on my phone. Then I proceeded to another place, where I was asked to show:
1. Tuition fee receipt
2. LOI
3. LOA
4. Quarantine plan

Then I was issued the permit.

CONGRATULATIONS,
Please how did you show your quarantine plan?

How did you prepare quarantine plan. Any template?

I just printed the hotel confirmation page. It was also stated on both the province and school’s letter of permission sent to me

Don't hesitate to ask questions, should you've any along the line.

You will receive an correspondence on your CIC account stating that you qualify for the NSE program and the list of documents required for the program. You don't have to pay for fresh application fees or biometrics since you've already done so before the submission of your initial application.

You can manoeuvre this situation by providing a written explanation addressed to the consulate officer declaring that the mybank certificate is not obtainable from the bank office within your locality.

I tracked my passport and got the following update: The decision envelope for your application, tracking ID No. XXXXXXX has been collected from the Canada Visa Application Centre, Abuja on 2020/12/16.
Does this mean that my passport is now with DHL?
Because I did a 2-way courier service with DHL and I tried tracking the return WAYBILL NO, on DHL's website but it's not showing the package has been received.
Do I get in touch with DHL or Abuja VFS?
