Once constructed, shippers with smaller vessels can navigate the Imo river (after dredging) and deliver goods to the port directly. The new port, once completed will complement Onne and service EEC, Aba and surrounding areas.

This project should have been executed and completed atleast a decade ago to supply Aba.
