This message you wrote is not for me, but let me tell you something about life and humans.

When you're looking for help, don't tell someone to send you a message — it's considered an insult; even if you use please or kindly.

Even if you want to buy something from that person, it's still considered an insult. If you're a man and the person is a woman, then there is no problem, but when it's man to man, it's an insult.

You, the person requesting to be contacted, sound arrogant and the person not obliging by contacting you as you wanted will seem rude and arrogant to you.

With this message, you've made yourself and the person to appear arrogant.

Successful people in their chosen careers hate being told to send them a message/call when in the end, you're the one to benefit more from the message. They are after more successes, not after distractions.

This is not ego or pride — it's just instinct. They feel devalued and insulted when you order them to send you a message/call.

If someone who isn't my friend or a family member orders me to send him or her a message/call, the outcome of that interaction should better be to my benefit.

When it's to your benefit, you're the one to do the sending/calling and wait to see if you'll get a reply. If you don't, swallow your pride and move on.

Lots of people on Nairaland here posted: iLegend, send me a message on WhatsApp I want to buy your book." I read and ignored 99% of them.

It's not pride, it's disrespect. Because you want to buy a book of 10k you want to control me? Na wa oh! Even people who are willing to pay 200k
as they beg to learn book publishing get declined, let alone an arrogant person who wants to pay 10k for a book that will help his life.

So, you guys should learn how to approach others to avoid appearing rude and arrogant. Helpers hate that. They hate subtle insult and devaluation of their time and worth. They hate when people take their time as a common thing.

In one way or the other, we all have pride. Only an idiot doesn't. It all boils down to how you manage it without being too arrogant or becoming too weak while trying to act humble.

Solution to My Rant Above

The right thing to do is to request for the person's email or number to send him a message. If he refuses, but requested for yours instead, then you can post your email for him to initiate the interaction.

Dropping details and requesting your helper to contact you is TOO much of an insult. It's only cool when the interaction is between a man and a woman and the man is trying to show dominance, else, it's terrible.

That's all.

I barb myself.
My Wife also barbs me, since she's better.
So, ur effort is nothing to someone like me grin grin grin
U don't have to be poor to achieve such.

In my District, HAIRCUT costs about $30, meanwhile a New Clipper costs about $25.
So, since that's the case I resolved to be cutting my hair myself and my wife does it better.
And we agreed to WILL that weekly $30 to my EX in Naija.
People fix things themselves in diaspora.
Most White Guys cut their hairs themselves.
No one PHOTOCOPIES MATERIALS for you.
You do it yourself.
The System compels u to become a MACHINA.
your wife us trying, is she a nigerian? Because i know most nigerian wives will feel big to do that abroad.
