Chicken! Have You Noticed This?

With just 5 days to Christmas chickens are everywhere already. Today after church, me and my siblings were passing by a poultry and we decided to branch and check the chickens

We asked for the price and the last price was 7000! Yes 7000 per Chicken. I was amazed because during Easter, early this year, I had bought the same size of chicken for just 3000 and 3500 respectively. Although the ones we priced today were very big and heavy I just wonder how something that cost between 3000 and 3500naira could suddenly sky rocket to 7000 naira per chicken. Who else has noticed this increase.

A poultry I manage: N2500.

A neighbor's poultry: N3500.

I heard the their feeds was quite expensive the last couple of months so maybe that's the reason ..

Chicken is 5000 here
Some are 6000 depending on the weight

But that tipsy Lauretta Onochie said food stuff is cheaper this year

if the cbicken pass wetin i budget, I go jus manage meat, fish or kpomo, I no see any need for killing myself all in the name of eating chicken and I can neva take a loan because of consumption...
the price of consumables are rising and I jus have to plan myself well because January that is always long n dry is around the corner and them fit go shock us with another lockdown, so man gat plan well..
cut ur coat to ur size no mean say I go wear undersize sha but this December seems like my worst ever......personal opinion..

I helped my sister-in-law in her poultry last year.
Knowing well that the chickens were just 3 months old & despite their heavy weights, the chicken couldn't go well in my mouth,,, having tasted the local ones.
