Actually, if you have your BVN done at the initial stage, you automatically have your NIN. That is so true.

Now the issue is this. The system automatically generates your NIN after registering your BVN then, but with no biodata of yours. That is, NIN with blank details. So, you will still need to visit Nimc office to capture your biodata details.

Does this even make sense to you? Is it not the same thing as saying if you haven't enrolled for NIN you need to go and enroll. Stop linking BVN with NIN.

When you registered for WAEC you automatically have JAMB

Don't know what you mean by the bold. The truth remains if you get your NIN via the BVN registration, the NIN you get is just the blank number, no details of you whatsoever in NIMC database. You will have to go to NIMC office to captured your details with previously generated NIN.

Height is biometric but it is not suited for biometric analysis because it changes with ageing

This is it: when I wanted to do my international passport fee months ago, I was told that I needed my NIN to proceed. There was no Nimc in operation then due to Covid, fortunately for me I found out that I already have NIN courtesy of my BVN registration, I quickly presented it.

On getting to NIMC, they checked it on their database and told me the NIN is blank and I need to do biodata capturing before it starts to functioning.

In a nut shell, you may have your NIN via BVN registration, but you stil need to activate it at NIMC office before it is valid.

only God knows how unbothered I am about this NIN. It is impossible for me to go to any local government council or anywhere to get my NIMC or whatever the fucck they call it at the moment. If they block my line I will buy black market even if it is 5k per sim. FG just want to keep people busy and have something to complain about on Twitter so that they won't stage another protest

I registered with NIMC last year march at their office in Alimosho LG Headquarters Lagor State and haven't obtain the plastic National ID Card but i ve the laminated copy that have my NIN inscribed on it. Yesterday, out of curiousity i tried dialling *346# to check& confirm my NIN, but disappointed to knw dt my data does not exist, though i later logged in online to submit my info details, am stil afraid because i dont understand why my info wasnt in nimc data base since last yr despite d pains & long queues i went tru to register for it& it was d same mobile numbers i submitted in d hard copy & online forms i filled then that am stil using. WHAT COULD BE WRONG? CAN SOMEONE HELP ME? Because i dont want to experience what i went tru last year again.

If it is a blank number, when I verified the NIN it suppose to be blank or no record found on NIBSS portal but when I inputted the NIN my full details is there, so probably it was at the point of my bvn registration that I was enrolled with my bio-data captured

You can verify it on NIBSS PORTAL, only banks and NIMC officers have access to it

The NIMC is being is not the truth. I never registered with NIMC and I got my NIN over a year ago. I had since link my other line with my NIN. Those that went ahead to register with NIMC after getting the their NIN through the *346# USSD still got same number. The truth of the matter is that the NIMC staff wants relevancy by all means. They will not backup those data collected again once you have been allocated NIN through your BVN unless change of residential address where applicable.

The Minister of Interior had said that printing of National is not necessary again what in important is having an assigned NIN period.

Those guys are seeking unnecessary attention and relevancy.

That is not correct, you can only be assigned NIN if you have all the required data captured which happens to be same with that of BVN except your bank details.
