Now there's a new policy see the rush , crowd etc just like in the time of bvn Nigerians don't learn... Any NIMC employee using this opportunity to be corrupt and charging people 5k, 10k, to expedite there nin process may u lose your job and those willing to pay bribe after not doing what you should have done for years may you lose that money you want to use as bribe ..

I know the number of times i have gone there without getting registered. Those people are damn lazy. If not that they were ordered by fg, most of them open their offices by 9am and lock by 12:30pm - 1pm. How many people do you want to register in that time?

Mine also. I only registered for BVN with Gtb and never registered for NIN. But when i opened my online banking, the NIN is also shown

and I never for once register for the NIN I check through the code on my mtn line and it show d same number so who is lieing to who here

I got my own through BVN and have not registered with NIMC

i actually dialed the code and got my nin number even tho i never reg for it. My bvn starts with 221 tho

After getting the nin for those who never registered initially, have y’all verified it successfully with nin database? Cos mine failed the verification and was told to visit mtn shop with nin slip to update my registration records.

How do I verify that the nin number I got is mine?

Your bank can do that for you via the NIBSS validation portal. BVN, National ID and Driver licence can be validated on same portal.

I dialed the *346# code and a nin appeared but the nin is different from my original nin in my slip.
I had to send for an update, I hope it would be solved.

Bro the boardcast wasn’t ridiculous i went to gtb bank around 2018 and printed out my bvn !
For a transaction inside the bank!

That day I noticed NIN on it!

It was printed in full!


I just register did my national ID card reg this year around march at ondo state!


The NIN turn out to be the same!





I still keep that copy of the one I printed in 2018

So i know what I’m saying 100%


The thing is the way gt print out there bvn is different from other banks!

I asked them if i can use bvn number to register for nimc
They asked that did it start from 221!
I said yes
Then they said i can use it

If you bvn number starts with 221 or 222, most likely you have nin, but then you must still visit any nimc centre for modifications.

I have my NIN but no printed copy of the ID be it temporary or permanent. How can i get even a temporary one because the people who captured my details for the NIMC came to the company I was working previously and I have lost the job. Any useful suggestion?

Our mobile Networks has shown us simple way to get our NIN and link it and you are saying otherwise. people should please disregard any messages that says you must visit nimc.

That NIN is not yours. It simply means that you bought a reassigned SIM card which have been used by its previous owner to register with NIMC.

The *346# SSD code is a project that wasn't thought through before it was implemented. It has a serious security breach that needs being corrected fast. I had wanted to comment about this issue before I came across your post.

Many people have lost the SIMs they used to register for NIN. These mobile lines are already connected to the NIN of their respective owners and dialling *346# will only show the new owners, the NIN of the previous owners.

The big, unforseen problem here is that someone who isn't knowledgeable in this matter would take the NIN shown to be his and may even go as far as using the NIN to register his/her other lines. While some scammers would start dialling the code on their numerous lines in search of compromised NIN numbers which they can use to register their lines. When they carry out any illegal deals with the lines, the wrong person would be arrested.

I did my BVN way back 2014 I think two weeks they announced about it.
I Dail the above code andy NIN number was there, mind you I never registered for NIN before.

I remembered the stress of trying to register my NIN. At Festac, my sister and cousin would go to the LGA at 5 am to write their names on the queue list but still found it filled.
I gave up on the process when their outlets started springing up at road sides asking for #500 b4 you're registered .

i did mine by chance in 2016. I remembered i paid 200 naira to collect the enrollment form

I check my national ID card and I found my NIN
It consists of 11 number I mine right

But I have my BVN and I also registered for NIN.
Does it means that I now have two NINs?
