Why are many of you Nigerians always ungrateful over everything. When those that looted same funds without doing anything were in same sit, you all cry out. Now someone is trying to do something instead of looting the money, yet still ungrateful.

Do you know how many lives will be impacted by this?

Do you know how many families will benefit from this?

For once try to appreciate a good work and stop the hate all the time. If every members representing their constituency does things like this even yearly, dont you think by now, most people of such communities will be having a source of livelihood?

I weep for what my people celebrate. Very insignificant in relation to their common wealth given through Hon. Idems. However, who am I to blame them when this is the first of its kind in the history of the Federal constituency. Former representatives are more scum than the country called Nigeria. The immediate past is the worst of them all.

Much as am not praising her or anything, other members also got allocations maybe to do the same for their own constituencies but they choose not to do so...

But what should be of greater concern to us is when do we get past this politics of buying cars and sewing machines for people?

It is high time the good people of Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal constituency stopped celebrating "nothing" if they actually look forward for politicians to develop the constituency. In as much as I am not against any politician, including Hon. Unyime Idem, who by extension is my brother considering that we are from the same village, Hon. Unyime Idem (Ultimate) did not give to his constituents out of benevolence from the money he made through his numerous investments, especially telecommunication sector as the third highest employer of labour in Akwa Ibom state.

Until youths, elders, constituents in general begin to realised that these Greek gifts are neither development nor significant of what ideally is given to the Federal constituency in terms of development, the better will it be for the constituency that is one of the worst in terms of development in Nigeria. It is no longer a news that Hon. Unyime Idem has tried, however, it does not call for celebration if you ask me. We understand that he is over rated considering that previous representatives had nothing to show for it, more especially, Hon. Emmanuel Ukoette who for now happens to be the only person who served eight ( cool

years and in all, i doubt if he stood up one day during plenary to speak on the floor of the house. I go in peace.

I don't understand your point. So because Other reps of our region did nothing, we should not be glad we have a Rep who considered empowering his people in some way.

Note, I said more grease to his elbows because he can do more. It is right to commend someone who has done well and hope he keeps doing more.

How that equates to a celebration baffles me.

The discussion should be how others can start carrying out welfare projects too
