I am not sure you would find a bigger Greenwood fan here than me, but one has to be cautious not to place too much pressure on the guy.

When one thinks of the injuries and off the field issues that derailed Whiteside, Ravel, Will Keane, Adnan, James Wilson e.t.c then it is understandable to temper expectations.

The best thing that could happen to Greenwood is for Rashford and Martial to have explosive seasons so that he is part of a group rather than the go to guy for all our attacks. I believe this is what destroyed whatever potential Adnan had.

Rashford is a very good player. He works hard, if he is lucky with injury he will last long as a professional.

Even though Rashford has poor finishing, the way he plays is the reason why all our chances usually fall to him , he makes good runs in behind and can create for himself too. That is why no matter how man he misses, he still manages to score at least one goal in the match.

If he has the finishing ability of Kane, he'll be top three top goalscorer every season, because he gets way too many goal scoring opportunities.

It's up to him to either buckle up and go the way of Rooney or keep playing like this and go the way of Nani.

hence the need for clinical players around him, those off days will have less impact since he can also create.
Bruno is there, Cavani is there, Greenwood is there and needs more experience. it seem Pellistri is not too shabby in front of goal. the board should try to get Haaland into the mix.
