My follow nairalander, I went to the market and buy one cartoon of this tin tomato, I wanted to prepare jellof rice this afternoon, I decided to bring out one of the tin tomato from the cartoon, See what I saw inside the tin tomato I bought in the market.

I saw rotten maggot Inside the tin tomato and the tomato inside the Tin, is smelling very bad, with odour.

My advice for you, Is whenever you are buying any tin tomato from the market, please check It very well.

The worst part of it, is that the expiring date written on the tin tomato is 2022.

May looking at the tin , it has been termpered . U didn't check well before u buy , this just a case of damaged goods , not fake product !

We really have to be careful about what we put in our bodies. Na different Nonsense dey market now. I bought one vital yeye sachet tomato paste to make spaghetti, na so this ting turn my spaghetti to brown colour like say na Milo I take cook am.

I'm sure dis is one of the numerous commodities dat were stuck at the border over the past months.. With the borders reopened all those products most of which would have gone bad due to poor storage conditions will flood d market

Did you try checking another one? It might have punctured slightly without you and the seller knowing, thereby giving room for air to infiltrate into it.

The day I saw how some apprehended culprits produce fake Maltina drinks and package them from mixtures inside dirty drums somewhere in Naija on TV was the day I got to know that tightly sealed drinks and foods with future expiry dates are not always safe.

This is so suspicious OP. The picture you posted looks like the other substance was infact added by you. The way they appeared its like you used your fingers to smear them on it cause the parts where the tomato paste is look so untouched and clean. If you wanted to be fair you would have opened like 2 or 3 more to confirm. This looks more like a smear campaign to me.

A greedy businessman will wipe of the expiry date and print another one on it.
