It's the festivity season and all I want for Christmas and New year is a roof over our heads.

I am a widow with four children, we have been homeless for 3 years. After my husband's death five years ago, I was left with nothing, I struggled to fend for my children, we lived from hand to mouth.

Unfortunately, my health took a turn for the worse and I was diagnosed with left ischemic stroke and I had to stop working. I take a daily dosage of drugs and occasionally get leg pains, I find it hard to walk or stand for more than 10 minutes at a time.

My first born had to bear the burden, what she earns is only enough to feed us, pay my last born school fees and get my drugs. We have been moving from a spot to another and facing all humiliation.

We are currently squatting in a room with 7 other people and we have been asked to leave where we are by January next year.

Please I do not want money , all I want is a room where I can hide my head with my family.

What killed this thread were the doubting thomases, people that wanted to help, had to pause because of the questions raised and the woman made sure she cleared those doubts but I'm guessing it was too late, the damage had been done.
I do hope she's fine and has gotten help somewhere else.
