seems Osimhen might be in some hot water with his club after a video emerged of him at a party in Nigeria not observing covid-19 protocols. Victor should know better probably get fined for the breach. now won't play till maybe 2 weeks time. dude needs to stay level headed |

Karlovich:I know a little bit about this. I can assure from first hand experience, when a black African child is left with White Europeans aa his parents. Add to that very little to zero input from his real parents for many years right up to his teenage formative years.. That child will suffer a debilitating identity crisis which will have multifaceted behaviour issues. Self esteem , social engagement skills, etc, etc. Some of these issues will follow you for life if not addressed. But the first thing l will say do not use Eurocentric based perceptive deductions on behaviour leaning towards dysfunctionalism. Black people are often misunderstood and then labelled trouble makers, castigated as indisciplined and termed problematic to coach, etc. Without some of my detractors thinking l am posturing. I have met Balotelli when he was at City and found him to be a GREAT CONSIDERATE HUMBLE guy with black people. |

BascoVanVeli:Some people are so stuck in the past they cannot move forward. Using misinformation and disinformation to forward your opinion is very infantile. Your reference to these past events are in the first instance TOTAL MISREPRESENTATION. But you just cannot change and show some maturity and balanced objectivity. Happy new year 2021 it seems you are still stuck in 2015. Please try and move forward with the rest of us to 2021. |

komekn:I agree with you that upbringing has an effect on how a kid behaves and the possible identity crisis that Balotelli faced while growing up with his white parents and also the way media portray players especially the black ones. My initial argument was on the racism part that was made and linking it to his perceived behaviour or his decision in regretting why didn't represent Ghana whereas he had little or no Ghanaian influence while growing up, almost of his friends were Italian and he barely spoke English until he moved to Man City. He was 100 percent focused on representing Italy. I've never met him but one thing I can say is that he is a talented footballer who could have achieved more if he had been more focused and cool headed. For all we know it could be because out of the blue he became wealthy and famous especially at a young age, such things can get into someone's head and could lead to some sort of arrogance especially if you don't have good advisors. |

a poor background or terrible parenting can have an adverse effect on any individual whether in sport, business or life in general. At the end of the day it's left to you as an adult to make the best of your life and not blame outside forces for how one turns out. Balotelli will not be the first or last to suffer racism so he can use that to excuse some of his behavior. Karlovich: |

Karlovich:He is not arrogant. He is the outcome delivery of not having s stable family background. He had am absentee father and then a uninformed white Italian foster father a recipe for confusion. I can empathize with him. I went to primary school where my brother and l were the only black kids in the school. One day my Father woke up and said " Megwuno, my children don turn oyibo finish " And we were sent straight from the UK to boarding school in Warri. That singular act changed the entire trajectory of my life. I could write a book about my experience. I couldn't speak my language and or any other Nigerian language, not even pidgin English. I couldn't even dance ( 2 left feet). However, today I consider myself born in the UK but made in Warri. Today l meet black kids even adults suffering deeply with identity crisis in Europe. They can not engage with black people although they are black. They just don't have the communication skills. And become uncomfortable with black people and feel awkward. A paradox because they are not really accepted by white people. It's painfully CONFUSING for them. That creates all kind of crisis in thier lives. As you know dance, language, accent, mannerisms are all communication skills. If you live in a black area you may easily acquires these life skills. And as a result you will not have an identity crisis or any issues of low self esteem. And will easily relate and identify with your roots. For example NairaMarley born in Nigeria but made in the UK in particular, little Lagos (Peckham, London) |
