I'm igbo, but I have a Muslim friend whose 2day old daughter was shot in the head by the Nigerian Army in Zaria, December, 2015. My friend was unlucky to be around the shiite guys, when the Nigerian Army descended on them, cos they blocked some Generals from accessing a highway. My friend developed mental issues. Please tell me, what sort of a human shoots a 2 day old baby in the head? Please tell me. The bullets went through her skull and came out the other side. This baby had no guns, she was just there. A new born. And in their bravery, they bursted this child's brain. Please someone tell me what sort of an individual does this? As if this wasn't enough, Lekki happened.

NB: Even if they blocked the road, which I don't support, is a fatal massacre on them justified? Who points a gun at a 2 day old child?

Of course you're Igbo. Na dem

The Nigerian Navy is back in Baga! It took them long enough.

https://www.channelstv.com/2021/01/02/nigerian-navy-re-equips-headquarters-in-borno-after-boko-haram-invasion/amp/?__twitter_impression=true

The NAVY and Army should ensure they use Helis and Naval boats to carryout a massive operation on Doron Baga, Doron Naira and several island littered around that area.

One of the worst attacks recorded in 2019.

They said they have studied the loopholes and mistake they made and have worked on it. Hopefully, an incident like that shouldn't happen again.

You have a habit of arguing aimlessly, pointlessly without doing any basic research.

Is this FLIR not clear enough for you?

The Nigerian military did all in it's powers to deny the bandits any freedom of action.

They deserve to be commended for quick action, professionalism and bravery.

They all deserve medals for the actions taken to rescue these boys.

Helicopters with FLIR, Special Forces, ground troops, heavy weapons they deployed with speed!!!

This is by far more impressive than the rescue the Americans were praised all over for recently.

The Troops and commanders deserve more than just praise.

Be honourable.

The first picture which was posted was completely devoid of any FLIR pod. What was shown was just the search light.

You then present a new TOTALLY DIFFERENT picture in which the FLIR pod is seen at the nose of the helicopter. And you then ask the question ❓ Thats dishonourable and a lack of integrity.

I see nothing to commend the NA for the entire exercise is steeped in subterfuge with claims and counter claims by different government bodies.

This was not a RESCUE but a RELEASE after cloak and dagger negotiations that included Miyatte Allah.

There is plenty to be ashamed about and nothing to commend.

No weapon will impress me more than how quickly we standardized our uniforms, whilst not 100 percent eliminated, the days when everyone wore whatever camo they liked seems to be behind us. Nothing makes a military look professional as rocking the same camo and gear.

Anytime Maj.Gen Enenche comes on air, he seems to always have rift with journalists. I for one think that the position of Defence Media kini! is demeaning for a man of his status, I don't think it's nice to cede that position to a very high ranking officer of the armed forces who most likely will not really keep up with the realities of modern media parley. I feel sad whenever he comes on air and journalists/program hosts fire him with questions from all cylinders(some of which are annoying) and he struggles to answer them most times under the guise of "Interest of national Security".
I think it will be more appropriate to appoint a Junior or Middle level officer who is very sound and in tune with Public/media relations of today. There are alot of brilliant young chaps that can do the job in the military, we should not expose/reduce our Major Generals to media spokesmen I feel it's demeaning to their rank, same applies for the other arms of service. Just a random thought though!! I might be wrong.
I don't agree with you. There should be no excuse for the incompetence of the Nigerian military at this kind of.

The spoke person of the US Army is a Brigadier General, the spoke person of the Russis military is a Major General.

Damaturu - Maiduguri Road: A journey of 130Kmrs that's shrouded by frequent kidnapping & killings.

This is the only road that linked Borno state (the mother of all Northeastern states) with the rest of Nigerians. If the road is not safe, then the entire country is not safe as well.

In recent times, the road has become a death trap for commuters, where the insurgents mount roadblocks on the road, kill and kidnap innocent Nigerians.

This is unfortunate, adverse, discouraging and threatening to every single Nigerian.

It's also uncalled-for, untoward and frightening our National security.

Those involved in ensuring safety of the road are advice to redouble their efforts
