Having studied the top 5 leagues I can say Italy is the slowest

Maybe that's why they have the biggest concentration of old men

Serie A is better than Ligue 1 in France. I think what affects the Italian league is the lack of pace when compared to the other Top 5 European leagues that's why older players can cope. Italian league is right up there when it comes to tactics I even rate them over EPL using that criteria. what I think affects them is that there isn't enough young talent coming through compared to other top 5 leagues

Even with the old players there they will still school many epl teams ,it mustn’t be all about pace everytime

I did not have time to watch the game. A bit busy but I caught a few minutes in the beginning and towards the end of the first half. Rodri did not look wack to me. There was even a point he was surrounded by three Chelsea players that he made a nice control and kept the ball safe, which was interesting.

Whoscored gave Rodri a 7.77 rating, over Sterling and Bernado Silva.

To enjoy Rodri, is about his decision making, his opening for spaces and reading of opposition passes.

He can't be that bad when he is even preferred over Fernandinho.

Fernandinho adds steel to our defensive setup but Rodri adds fludity.

Rodri is so light in that midfield that basically anybody bullies him, Pulisic schooled him in the first half he got a reprieve in the second half when Man city dominated possession

He is always guaranteed to lose a 50-50 against a decent midfielder
