Sammy07: You are right. Delta and Bayelsa despite huge allocations have little to show for the level of debt incurred. As for Cross River, I am just shocked. Looks like hangover from the Tinapa project and others of the Donald Duke era is still weighing the state down. Unfortunately they couldn't commercialise those investments as planned 1 Like |

What you guys are not seeing is that apart from Cross River State, other states in the top borrowing list are states with the perceived capacity to repay based on their monthly inflow. If you are perceived to have money, banks will give you more money because you can pay. Not wrong to borrow but should be injected into development. 2 Likes |

Niger Delta oil producing states with highest debt yet nothing to show for it. Ebonyi debt is 41.37$ billion yet it has the best infrastructure more than rivers, Delta and bayelsa. 3 Likes |
