Hello Guys,

I noticed members who had travelled in this forum do mention Yellow Card

What does YELLOW CARD means?

Thanks

The International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (ICVP) is known as Yellow card.

I’m addition to the rich contribution from @lentomac

Yes, you can go with your 2 year old son. You’ll need to show funds for him and also plans you’ve made for him to be taken care of. Eg daycare applications for him

If you search the thread you’ll see stories from people who did it and were successful.

Best wishes

lentomac:

Yes you can use it

Apart from your Husband and Kids as ties to your home country
- Landed Properties
- Parents
- Siblings
- Your Job in Nigeria
- Positions (e.g Church Youth Leader etc.)

are good Hometies

Since you are married , your Husband and Kid is a strong tie to your home country

To whether your Son (less than two ) can go with you or not, that I can't say, but I feel it's possible

A married Applicant with a kid at that Age range and was successful with her Visa would be able to answer this question

Gurus too can help

YOU ARE VERY WRONG.

A yellow fever vaccination card or even the ICVP is not required for Canada. The yellow card you get is an immigration card that needs to be filled in and submitted before you board your flight. The names are similar but they’re two different things. Please do not be quick to call an information you’re not sure about wrong. I travelled a few weeks ago and I know what I’m saying. People rely heavily on info from this thread, if you’re not sure of something, don’t share it please. Thank you

Happy New Year and best wishes

My dear calm down....
I never said the ICVP is required for canada.
I said that thing u uploaded is NEVER called a yellow card. You uploaded a departure card.

A departure card is yellow in colour, the ICVP which is the actual yellow card (a two page little book before the introductionof the e-yellow card) is also yellow in colour. You are missing the terminology already.

The yellow card is your property, you keep it with your passport until its expired. The departure card is not your property but to be submitted before boarding.

Even if u traveled this morning, it doesn't change anything. Deepwater is an emirate card holder with over 310,000 tier miles already (platinum)....forget story abeg.

Be open to learn new things.

A simple google search or ask a friend would save your the trouble. God help you on your next flight from Nigeria to any Asian country and you show them only departure card at final gate.....u go see how the plane go take fly comot for your front.

Lol! You are very funny @deepwater

You shouldn’t be talking of IELTS because you’re clearly in the wrong!!!! The person asked on a forum for Canadian study permit. He was also clearly referring to those who travelled to Canada recently.

Please don’t come here to confuse people abeg. Maybe you should read properly before commenting next time and don’t be quick to label things false/negative.

Cheers

Deep waters

You’re really talking off point. This will be my last response to you. I’ll rather use my time to assist people and give them ACCURATE information. This is a forum for Canada. Why will you be giving info for an Asian country? @Lentomac asked specifically about those traveling to Canada. I do not care about your flyer miles. I don’t need to ask a friend or google about a yellow card as I am a medical doctor and also well traveled. Learn to read and understand before you allow your hand type. Take your silly pride and wrong information elsewhere. We don’t do that here.

Hi All,

Question: I live in the USA and I want to sponsor my sister to study in Canada. Can I do that or must the sponsor be someone living in Nigeria?

I appreciate it if anyone will answer my question.

You’re allowed to sponsor her even if you’re not in Nigeria. Attach your employment/business docs, payslips, bank statement and sponsorship letter. If she’s mature, she should make sure her home ties are on point.

Many people have done it and gotten approvals.

Best wishes

You are welcome,

Hmmmm, well No risk, No Reward, So the above link I sent is just an Approach to take a Calculated Risk that can be favorable to you, and so you won't put all your eggs in one basket, try apply to two schools (colleges)

I have friends who applied for a PG. Cert admission in a College with a 3rd class degree, and they got Admission (Cambrian College & Conestoga College to be precise)

Suggestion
- Try apply to Cambrian College (if they have a computer related PG. Cert program)
I heard they have Application Fee waiver for International Students, try confirm that, then you can use your Application fee to apply to another college
e.g Conestoga College and check for a computer related PG. Cert program there and apply, I have seen a response in this forum that says Conestoga College accept 3rd Class

Like you know already Advance Diploma shows no Career progression for a B.TECH/B.SC Graduate

What does it profit an applicant to get admission for a wrong program qualification & not get study visa due to wrong career progression

In a nutshell, do your due diligence & don't be scared to take the bull by the horn

You can await more suggestions to your questions which can be helpful aswell
Thank you so much for your input.

I was only referring to the card the guy uploaded previously as the bone of contention and not the one u uploaded.. you should have just passed your message instead of this IELTS thrash you typed here..I pray you find peace..

Thanks Adeenzo for the detailed information, I would like to know if I can book for my medical weeks before starting my study permit application and also, in your province, what's the estimated price for a 1-bedroom house/space that comes with all utilities... Thank you

Yes, you can book weeks before starting our study permit application; this is called upfront medicals. (and I personally advise this. but doing an upfront medical doesn't in anyway increase your chances of getting approval over someone that didn't do his/her upfront medical, it just purely speeds up your application processing time).

I am in Alberta province, Edmonton: accommodation can range from 370 cad to 650 cad for a room (definitely all utilities), also mild advice; try not to get a basement suite because some houses rarely heat their basement and trust me the cold is insane, so just be careful about basement apartments.
