I don't know why SE lack reality of politics like this.. Beg TINUBU to step down and see as things works but rather u keep calling him thiefnunubu, fighting the wrong person because of GEJ loss revenge , no p na
meanwhile
nobody is stopping any1 from contesting bro.. APC has already prepared to fight ATIKU north...

Do you even know the parties that emerged to form APC?

How has calling Tinubu name matter? Was it Igbo leaders that called him names.

Didn't same Tinubu reject Buhari in 2003?

If nobody is stepping down than the contest should be opened to the north.

To hell with north and south rotation.

The after that there should be no quota system as the best candidates should should get the jobs and entrance into schools. cheesy

Nigeria is never designed to work, as it fraught with ambiguities. While people like you will continue to shift the goal post to atisfy your greed and selfish interest.

Didn't both parties cede tickets to 2 candidates from the same region last time out?
this is where u get it wrong, lie to yourself.nobody ceeded anything to anywhere,Olu falae n obj defeated Igbo candidates in all the parties they contested.

Olu falae defeated Ogbonnaya onu or so n
obj defeated ekweme.

so it will b a southern thing, let d best candidate win.

yorubas never told d Igbos not to contest n they didn't tell parties to micro zone it to south west, they came out n defeated all opposition's so Igbos should also come out n defeat all opposition's too

Sometimes, I feel these folks are unserious. First, you want APC and PDP to cede the ticket to the southeast, did APC win any state in the southeast inthe last presidential elections? Who have you reached out to? Have you talked to the stakeholders in the two leading parties? You fight for what you want and not pass resolutions you have no powers to enforce. At these meetings, come up with a strategy to win power, send delegations to the stakeholders in northern Nigeria and the southwest, build alliances, build strong bridges (Buhari realized this late but this tipped the elections for him in 2015).

This whole southeast presidency is becoming a sad joke. Imagine this:

Please find out how to win presidency. You owe it to yourselves.

How can we achieve presidency when we allowed Nnamdi Kanu to go preaching his campaign of hate on other enthic groups without restrain under the guise of fighting for ndigbo. Now he's destroyed whatever political gains we made since 1999.
Even the senate seat, the third most powerful office that used to be considered a defacto seat for an igbo man pending when he gets the presidency has been taken away from him. Now we are painfully back to square one like it was in post civil war
God bless you, they don't know d level of damage Nnamdi Kanu has done.

Right now an average Nigerian sees an Igbo man as an hate filled person who can hate u within seconds once Nnamdi Kanu says so.

just imagine Nnamdi Kanu called for the head of a sitting governor n none of them sees any big deal about it

South East should stay and fight for tickets under their party, Papa Deceiving Pikin bcoz APC is not available for them.

Who's "we"? Besides, our political establishment has handed president tickets on a platter of cash since 1999.

When Dave Umahi decamped to the APC to contest for the presidency, instead of the Igbos villifying him and calling him betrayer and all such unprintable names, they should have defended and rally round him to continue to pursue his presidential ambition.

Yorubas talk as if they are a force ...una done fight una self finish ? .....you are all banking on north supporting u over south east that's why u want half zoning trying to be clever by half

Without zoning no body in south can win presidency as it stands now

The issues is not about the Yorubas or even South.
You need a strong and formidable candidate to contest and win this race.

To assume that only Igbo politicians in the APC and PDP will participate in their primaries is just like wishful thinking.

Onu was not forced to step down, he won the APP primaries because it was zoned to the South and that was why Olusola Saraki was out of the equation then in APP. If it hadn’t been zoned to the South, Saraki would have defeated him before 2pm on that day. Onu is a paperweight then and APP had to go into alliance with AD and the consensus provided Falae.

There is actually one Igbo man stronger than Onu then in APP that should have naturally won but I think they did some magomago and handed it to Onu because they know he won’t win jack in the merger. I forgot the other man’s name.

As you would know, during those period, Onu was a paperweight then and he wouldn’t have been chosen as the flag bearer for the APP and AD merger, moreso the Northerners who are more in APP favored Falae over him.

Yorubas have contested this presidency multiple times while damning zoning and if you remember Abiola contested against a Northerner and won through the ballot.

Walahi we are not afraid to contest against a Northerner because we are equally stakeholders in the Nigeria project and not second fiddle.

You think Tinubu/Osinbajo will be scared to contest against an Atiku?

APC are only making mention of the south because according to them they made a deal in the formative days and one good turn deserves another. If Buhari remain neutral, can you tell me anyone that can defeat Tinubu political machinery in APC for the primaries?

Is it El-Rufai or who?

Actually, the APP 1999 primaries didn't hold as scheduled but the leadership of the APP under the Late Sen Mahmud Waziri just appointed Dr Ogbonnaya Onu who was not a candidate in the botched primaries as a 'dummy' candidate to meet up INEC guildlines.
He was later replaced by Olu Falai after the conclusion of the AD/APP alliance.

Just calm down...the day igbo enter that seat... So they should Enjoy It while it last

I've always known that SE is not ready for presidency.

The Igbos lacked the political will and wisdom to penetrate other regions. Rather they will abuse Yoruba, Yoruba Muslim and Hausa. Yorubas are slaves to Fulani / Hausa.

They talked so much about Biafra than Nigeria. Oh, Nigeria is a Zoo etc yet you want to be President over the same country you described as a Zoo.

Pdp should give them ticket.

No one has come out openly. Some of them are busy stealing in their offices. Resign now and face presidential manovering. Ibo man won't resign.

They think you can build bridges across Nigeria 3 months to the election.

Onu and Ngige are still in the office. Ibo man no go leave certainty for uncertainty. Well done to them. Keep waiting for Nigerians to give you presidency ticket in your office.

Atiku and Tinubu have started going round while our Igbo brothers are still issuing communique at town hall meeting in Enugu.

Olusola Saraki was in ANPP until 2002 when he joined PDP.

I never said he left the APP in 1999. He did anti-party by campaigning openly for Obasanjo and asking his supporters to work against the APP in the election.

After the election, Sen Mahmud Waziri had a running battle with Saraki worsened by another betrayal of Saraki by the party in not supporting Saraki to force Sen Ishaq Salman to step down from the Senate and pave way for Saraki to contest as a Senator culminating in the appointmwnt of Chief Alani Bankole as the interim chairman.

Sen(Dr) Olushola Saraki did much for the APP but felt unappreciated.

Later on, Saraki attempted to hijack the APP by sponsoring Yusuf Ali as the Chairman of the APC but Ali refused to do his biddings and not helping him to deal with Gov Mohammed Lawal of Kwara State.
Eventually Saraki was expelled from the APP in 2002 but he got wind of the expulsion and he quickly rendered his resignation letter from the party and moved to the PDP , hijacked the PDP Kwara State Structure and installed his son as the Governor of Kwara State.
