Webforms & mails to Nairobi, I'd say you bombard them with it, every other week or more, if they don't respond asap or time keeps going.

Celoexpress:
Thank you.

How do I upload the mybankcertificate on my profile please? Is there a special way or I need to send to IRCC Kenya Webform?

Please help with answers for those that have done it before.

Hi,

If you are going for a PH.D, it's best for you to go for a PHD program that is fully funded (By the School or Department). Most time, PHD in Canada and other countries has funding available cos of it's duration, research intensive and other factors .

Due to the Competitive Nature of Graduate School in CANADA, don't limit yourself to one province (ONTARIO), explore other schools in other provinces.

Visit the first two links below and google search the programs there (Biochemistry & Chemistry)

Also look downwards & google the schools offering PH.D in Food Science.

PHD in Biochemistry
https://www.universitystudy.ca/search-programs/?k=Biochemistry&program_level_merged=Doctorate&program_language=ENGLISH

PHD in Chemistry
https://www.universitystudy.ca/search-programs/?k=Chemistry&program_level_merged=Doctorate&program_language=ENGLISH

PH.D in Food Science

PhD in Food Science
Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia

PhD Food Science
University of Guelph, Ontario

PhD in food science
University of Saskatchewan, Saskatchewan

PhD in food science
Memorial University of Newfoundland, Newfoundland and Labrador

PhD in Food Science
University of Manitoba, Manitoba

PhD in Food Science (Vancouver)
University of British Columbia, British Columbia

PhD in Food Science and Agricultural Chemistry
McGill University, Quebec

Now ,how can you start the process in Securing Supervisor/Supervisors (Professors), getting a Fully funded PH.D Position etc.

go through all the content in link below in to to

Gurus/menbers that have passed through Grad. School (PH.D) will guide you more better based on their experience

Note that once you clock 30, you would begin to drop points, so before your 30th birthday, you can try work something out and enter the EE pool , you might just be lucky. First of all, check your CRS SCORES to know how many points you have most esp. now that you have an M.SC and age difference of 1 year is still by your side [Can anyone help with FUTO transcript connection./quote]

Can a 3rd class(1.60/5.00) in Economics be used to pursue PGD in Canada? Or the person should start a BSc afresh in Canada.

Thanks.

Please sorry for this kind of question. I am a rookie here

Happy new year house! Please for those of you that got admissions how did you go about sending your transcript. Did you wait for the school to request the original copy or you just sent it after applying?

I know you can upload a soft copy during application but eventually the school will request for a copy from your school if offered admission. Please when did you start processing it. I'm just trying to save time. Thanks.

If yes, what is the minimum amount I should have present in it and please I just need to know how the account statement thing works. I'm going for undergraduate studies and I'm 31yrs this year

Unless it is requested, either as admission condition or application requirement, you don't need to send. Some schools are actually accepting electronic copy from the University as sufficient due to Covid-19 wahala.

Pls I need help on this

1. Yes anyone can sponsor you as long as they give genuine reason(s) why they are doing it.
2. The best way to convince the vo is for the sponsor to pay your tuition fee or transfer the entire fund(tuition and living expenses) into your personal bank account.
NB: The above is mainly if the sponsor is a 3rd party(not your parents or siblings).

You are welcome,

If you are not in anyway sponsoring yourself, you don't need to show your Account Statement.

Minimum amount of money your sponsor need to show

- Tuition
- Living Expenses $10,000CAD

So adding your Tuition & Living Expenses together will show the minimum amount of money your sponsor need to show

Also note that your Sponsor need to have substantial amount of money left to take care of him/herself , business and family after sponsoring you, so it won't look as if he spent all his funds on you.

So you know there is a New Route for Nigeria to apply for Study Visa , NSE - Nigerian Student Express, the proof of funds is in another dimension $30,000 CAD and it is showed via MybankStatement Ticket

Hello,
I received an email from IRCC that my study permit application has been approved December 17 since then, I have not received my passport from VFS Nigeria.
I called VFS Nigeria was told that my application is in the embassy ( paper application) I submitted my application along with my passport.
What can I do?
Am worried, also I have paid for UPS courier service. Thanks

Hi Summe,
I answered the first question on the Living in Canada thread. Regarding the second question, it took less than 10days despite the Christmas and boxing holidays. IRCC workload concerning passport processing seems to be at the low and I observed processing at their office takes 3 working days or less currently. If your courier guys and vfs do well, you may even get it in 7days[/quote]

From the experience of members in this forum,
Lagos VFS has doing as if they are on a SLOW MO CHALLENGE. Some applicants got their Stamped passports 30 to 40 days after where as Abuja VFS was much faster.

What you can do is this

If you have gotten a Tracking ID from Lagos VFS,
you have to Bombard them with Calls until any of their agents pick

Do refer to this post

Trick on how to reach out to VFS (via Call)
https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/692#97051549

you can also send Mails to them, though I heard they hardly reply mails but there is no harm in trying, you might just be lucky

I called vfs this morning on this number 08150188800 and they informed me the passport was shipped out since 22nd of December. The lady I spoke to gave me the UPS tracking number.

When I tried tracking the passport on ups site it was showing the package has been abandoned.

Please anyone with similar experience should advise too.

Thanks

Thank you so much, I want to change career thats why I am going for another undergraduate program. I used my bsc to apply to an undergraduate program following the schools after-degree route, the duration of the program I applied for is 28months(2yrs and 4 months), but I was given an alternate offer and they(the school)asked me to transfer to the initial program I applied for after my first year in the offer they gave me, so that will be 3years study altogether. But if I would be given visa following that alternate offer, my visa would be 4years because the offer is a 4year course on its own

Good evening future Canadians. question, does applying for a college that doesn't offer PGWP (post graduate work permit) count as ties to home country?
Example CCEC Canadian career education college.

Does it decrease chances of approval ?

Anyone vying to study at this school should pls DM

You can use your Naija bank card if it has mastercard. Or get a domiciliary usd acc opened and use either cards during your quarantine. Or if you have a support, you can get a prepaid credit card and buy dollars with your Naija card. Many options. Avoid going out as best as possible. You can be fined for breaking health order
Ayobami2001:
Hello house

Please did anyone who already travelled or planing to travel open a Canadian account from here in Nigeria. From the rules of quarantine, I can see one is supposed to remain indoors for the entire 14 days, unless there is a medical emergency. So how does someone get food and groceries for the duration of quarantine? Apparently, it is advised one make orders with online transfers or make payments with cards instead of leaving your accommodation to a store to spend cash. That can attract a fine. I got cash with me but I just wanna have options.

Will appreciate it especially if folks under quarantine tell of their experience

Just an addition to this - there's a limit on how much you can use with your MasterCard out here - last I contacted my bank they told me it was reduced again' hey I don't mean you're not correct about the details you gave out - but just be careful while trying to get something with your Nigerian card.

Cheers
