finally updated my mi max 2 to miui 11 after so much procrastination and reluctance due to the mindset that there could be an unforseen bugs coming after updating but i muat confess, my phone looks sweeter right now

What's up, did you get a special case for it, one that covers the camera module like the Nilkin case??
The way this camera shoot out ehn, is giving me some serious extra cautiousness. grin

Although I know it's also protected by Gorilla Glass 5 but I don't want some funny stain/ surfaces to blur my cam. One can't be too careful. grin

I rarely use my camera cos I'm not a selfie freak, but I go cry if the time I want to use my phone to capture special moments or places the quality don reduce from original one. cry

I installed the MIUI 11 update based on android 10, so far I can't say I have seen any visible difference with the one based on android 9 except for the fact that I can now schedule my night mode. What should I look for? It seems Redmi had implemented most of the android 10 features in their MIUI updates for other android versions?

Most new android features are implemented on the MIUI Version even before you get that android upgrade.

It was even less than 90k a week ago or thereabouts before I bought mine.

Useless President and Economy na im cos that rubbish. That's why I even rushed to purchase it earlier December cos I was avoiding another price bump in Xmas period or early January cos of the unpredictability of our Currency. undecided

You don't want used? Your budget will only get you NEW Redmi 9c max.

Check the thread you're referred to, you'll see what your budget can get you or what you can add to get something better. Window shopping no be sin; but no do it enter their WhatsApp!

I will also get the Nilkin case or something with same specs as it. Probably around next month.

My sense of cautiousness just increased two fold like dis...cos 2 days ago I had an accident with a Car. The way that motor knack me ehn off my feet. I crash landed with my phone in my hand. Omo the screen smash oo. grin

luckily for me gorilla Glass 5 got my back and I escaped with a small single bruise on my arm...na screen guard break. grin

I swear if na Transsion ehn that phone screen don go. Na smashed screen I for dey move with just within a month of purchase. cheesy

I remember 2 years ago I was still using Tecno, I accompanied my friend to filling station, my phone fell from my hands and landed hard face down on the concrete floor— the screen break oo. It even penetrated the screen guard I put on it.

You seem to be forgetting iPhone is OLED while mi 11(others) is AMOLED.
Also having a higher screen resolution than the iPhone 12. Also slightly bigger screens. Also one major factor Apple makes its chips just as it designs its OS. So it has the luxury of optimising it's OS to the best capabilities of the chip.

We all know Android Phonemakers are dependent on Google for its OS. In addition OEM's slap their own in-house OS skin on top of Google stock Android which makes it even more heavier than it is.
