Gorgeousasanat:Hi, we're in similar situation. I also have a degree in Economics and have applied for a Masters in Economics. I'm just hoping I'll get funding to reduce the burden of POF. As for hubby and kids I'll worry about that when i get there. I advice you do same too, just focus on building your POF if you can and pray for the best outcome with your application. It will end in praise for us. |

Pls I have a question. A frd of mine applied for a college diploma because her highest level of education is HND ...pls is this the right move because some people are saying that the vo will consider educational progression ... pls your opinion... waiting for you response pls |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by hope4brym: 8:53pm On Jan 09, 2021 |
A program with Co-op placement is usually a good idea; and you don't want to do a College Diploma like the Biotechnology one because it's a step back for you. So the Food Science one is the better option, as long as you can relate it to your degree. adeniyi3971: |

Can the spousal open work permit (SOWP) be obtained while in Nigeria or its done only when one is in Canada? |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Anon123: 9:34pm On Jan 09, 2021 |
ibrahim:The spouse has to be in nigeria during the entire duration of the application. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Ayokaq: 9:43pm On Jan 09, 2021 |
SOWP can either be done outside Canada or inside Canada Anon123: |

Babyboy2020:You mean PGD, right? If yes, then she has nothing to worry about (especially if it is in same field she got her HND in). |

Same here oh, infact when PPR came, it didn't show as final decision did not show as "approved" and as this minute it is still showing "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.", but the final decision has changed to as "approved", Also, I noticed that they didn't include the NSE docs I sent via mails. awys:

| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by deommanuel: 10:33pm On Jan 09, 2021 |
davo99:I think in Otunatee's case, his Eligibility was still showing "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility." I'm not completely sure though, he can confirm when he reads this. IT WILL END IN PRAISES IN THE SHORTEST POSSIBLE TIME. |

Hello @ JohnErrin, I drove by the Canadian embassy yesterday and I saw banners outside on doing covid test there but I don't know if they have actually started operations oh. You may wanna find out and verify, however, I believe there must be other locations to take the test and others who have such info can share. All the best. It will end in praise for us all... Hello everyone, I am so confused about how to go about my POF. We have a food family business with my name on the CAC document as part of the owners. Can this business sponsor me by sending the whole money at once to my account? Or should my husband be the sponsor? Is it compulsory to send the money to my own account in bits or the money for my proof of funds can be sent at once? Note: I studied industrial chemistry as my first degree. I'm going for global business Management in Humber college to specialise in fashion Management in the 2nd year. (I have an offer letter already for fall 2021) My fashion business is registered with CAC and I have certificates from my fashion schools, with presence on social media. Which documents can I submit to support my application. I hope I have a good chance of getting a visa. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Anon123: 11:44pm On Jan 09, 2021 |
OlanikeOba:My 2kobo on this is... If yoy husband has the necessary funds, he can be your sponsor while you send a few funds(not so much) to cover for your living expenses of $10,000. I advise against the use of company funds to sponsor your application. If your husband cant, then you may need to send the money in bits. You are to submit documents to prove you are into the fashion business which is why you are going for the program related to your experience. All you have mentioned is fine and good. |

Hello everyone. Please I need your help and urgent response. How long does Spouse open work permit application takes? |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by OlanikeOba: 12:21am On Jan 10, 2021 |
The family food business belongs to me, my husband and kids. My husband has his own firm/business separately as well, and he is the only signatory to the bank account of his personal business because it's a sole proprietorship company. OlanikeOba: |
