Everyday your kind comes here to ask for info. Motivating people to source for info. Someone brings positive info and gets a good number of likes without adequate verification of how genuine the info is. But another fellow drops the info he has from his source and u are attacking him simply becos it's not what u want to hear.

Look here, we're interested in verifiable info, not hearsay. Even if the info is negative let it be reliable as the likes of nilnilsef, ezalb, etc. You obviously gave up a long time ago so I'm not surprised at your stance.

How do u verify an info? Do u have the capacity to verify it?
U asked where he got the info from and he said from a contact. U want him to give u the name and details of the contact so u can verify? Must his contact tell him about the MPE? Is he one of the candidates for MPE or a candidate for experienced hire?

Please note that I didn't give up on the recruitment. I only said I have moved on. If it comes fine.... if it doesn't it's still fine. There are still tons of opportunities out there for us. God knows what is best for each of us

all the arguments changes nothing, if your connect gave you this info this early in the new year then I guess we should take it with a pinch of salt, because so far we barely have any info to state otherwise or hence go by..although we have heard time and time again that its been cancelled, NNPC are not even doing us justice by addressing the issue after all the pressure..let's all just keep an open mind..so we don't get disappointed...in as much as I don't pray for it to be cancelled..let's prepare ourselves for whatever the outcome..

Until NNPC makes an official statement that the process for Experienced Hands has been canceled, don't believe any rumour. Remember DPR, NLNG and others? It's heavily lobbied because of the role you get, the projects you manage. and most people would want to retire there.

The market is not doing well so why incur additional payroll expense? This is nothing compared to GT recruitment expenses even with induction and their paid relocation. It might take two years for this to be resolved.

Not cancelled, suspended / put oh hold. No one likes negative news so I have kept it to myself and sulked on it ever since 23rd December when a call was made from a certain someone to another.

I know it's not palatable news guys but GMD placed it on hold for the following reasons;

1. External influence - a lot of lobbying from powers that be happened underground before, during and after the interview. The corporation is trying to avoid a scenario of square pegs in round holes.

2. Perception that a lot of EH (at least up to the number that was expected to be recruited which wasn't mentioned during the conversation) performed below par / didn't perform extremely well during the interviews.

3. Internal alignment process.

The call ended with "when or if anything happens/comes up, I'll let you know". I do however think that the tweets and sustained pressure from EH may just unlock this thing. I choose to keep hope alive but I'm also focused at work - a 50/50 mindset so I can accept/absorb whatever the outcome will be.

The thing that matters to me is if my name will be among when the list comes out as I don't know anyone. This has made me to reduce my attention to the whole process cos the longer it takes the more unlikely people without connect will get the apl.

please was the suspension from Feb 14 wen the gt list was released or the 23rd wen you got the info..or it has always been Like that even before the lists were released..so we have a clear picture of what is actually going on and how long this wait is still going to be..because we have been hearing suspension, cancellation,ana all the shions...abeg share o

Not sure exactly when the EH Recruitment Process was placed on hold, but it is reasonable to think it was after the interview (could be just before or after GT list was released), but certainly not 23rd December, 2020 when that call was made.

Well, this article just corroborates what some other individuals have submitted here. When this exercise started, I'd earlier posited that the level of bureaucracy and nepotism is endemic in the corporation and it would take a gargantuan effort by committed staff of the inner circle of the corporation to turn things around. This just shows how horrible we are as a country. It is somewhat bemusing that in 2021, a Nigerian government-owned parastatal that conducts a recruitment exercise cannot communicate the outcome of an exercise to the participants that takes years to conclude. Even foreign O&G companies that attract 20 times what this corporation offers do not even take this long to complete a recruitment exercise. Hell, some one-man businesses are not this incompetent in conducting a recruitment exercise. I definitely won't be surprised if these jokers keep the EH applicants in the dark until another exercise is conducted in years to come. This country is indeed a joke!

I felt very sad ,For someone who have been trying to promote is TAPE after several promises of concluding this process .They are delaying it so that more and more of their people will enter .

According to Obateru, they fill some vacant positions with existing staff and will select from the experience hires to fill the rest.

That explains why the management cadre was filled using the MPE/IOR.

At least we are certain that some EH will be called....

Exactly. I don't know why majority here are crying foul cos it seems to me it's the managerial cadre that's affected mostly. I'm guessing most of us are between ss3 to ss5

EH has been over since last year. They have taken their kids and their friends kids in the place of professionals
