You always type with ignorance. Knee first is elementary stuff for keepers, hell Manuel Neuer is the king of it. He has done that to many players. Henderson is there to win the ball and protect himself,how else do you want him to punch the ball . Bailly was caught under the ball and had no chance of winning it. Henderson saved us from conceding with good awareness to the threat. You should be asking what was bailly doing there. You don’t gift the opposition goals by backing out of challenges because your CB who’s been caught out is in the way.

That was a stupid play by Henderson. No need for him to go in with the knee, it was unbelievably dangerous. Could see doing it with opponents for safety but Bailly back was to him posing no threat.

What was bailly doing at his knee level and why was he not contesting for the ball? That was a free header for the Watford player from six yard out and you expect Henderson to romance the ball or what? What Henderson did was what he should have done. . The most important aspect is not to concede a goals. The well being of your own defender is not the first priority at that moment. Neuer has done it countless times, Ederson did the same to Garcia last season from the top of my head.
