You probably do not know what you are calling for. Yourubas have several communities in the north and many have lived there for generations and mostly nobody have problems with that. To suggests that because from fulanis living in your backyard is now a reason to kill them is very unfortunate. This is the reason Nigeria will not make any meaningful progress with people like you in the majority.

Then let's conduct a referendum and let everybody break up.

Any Yoruba living in the North thinking that place is home is a compound foool!

Nigeria is not one and will never be one in a million years. Postponing the inevitable is because of the goods and benefits the politicians stand to make.

We are not your brothers. Any southwestern idiot living in the North by this time, cohabiting with people that if any small spark happens in their brain, the next thing is to find dagger... then that Yoruba is a round idiot. No apologies.

Amotekun wil go rogue. It is a question of time.
It is great that they want to go after the criminals ruining farms, taking lives and kidnapping people.

I don't share the same opinion with you on Fulani people. Keep your bigotry to yourself.

FYI, many of these cows are not theirs. More often than not they belong to your tribesmen, people in your community. lipsrsealed

If the account you have given is the truth, then kudos to Amotekun.

Amotekun must not make the mistake the police made; which is neglecting the role of timely information dissemination and the crucial propaganda management that is just as crucial as the fight against criminality.

Amotekun must endeavor to report on its fight against criminal activities first to the police and then using most popular media in real time, and faster than the propaganda wing of such criminal gangs and their enablers. Such enablers are quick to twist the narratives just to steer up tribal sentiments to protect their tribesmen regardless of the criminal activities recorded.

This is the only way to keep the criminals and their ethnic enablers on their back foot.

Rockyheight:
THE POLITICS OF REPORTING ÀMỌ̀TẸ́KÙ

Today, the South West Security Network codenamed Àmọ̀tẹ́kún is said to have gunned down a number of criminals terrorizing Ibarapa axis of Ọ̀yọ́ state in a gun duel that lasted several hours. The security personnel also sustained various injuries and it is likely some of them have paid the supreme price.

However, report of the activities of Àmọ̀tẹ́kún by national dailies recently left a lot of questions in the heart of discerning mind. Àmọ̀tẹ́kún were reported by some dailies to have killed Fulani herdsmen and not criminals. This is how the fourth estate of the realm help fan embers of war and discord.

The fact remains that Àmọ̀tẹ́kún was created to fight criminals and not because of a particular ethnic group as newspapers have been painting it. The UI student alleged to have been shot by Àmọ̀tẹ́kún is not a Fulani. Thugs recently fought by the security outfit in Ibadan were not Fulani but Yoruba.

Saying Àmọ̀tẹ́kún killed some bandits in Ibarapa today should have been the best way to report the incident and not that they killed some ethnic groups. I can still remember how Yoruba people were spraying money on a Fulani/Bororo boy singing Fuji music around World Oil Petrol Station around Iwo Road in Ibadan few years back. That is who we are; we are accommodating to any tribe that is not criminally minded.

Let those who want to paint Àmọ̀tẹ́kún bad remember that even though their agenda was to kill Àmọ̀tẹ́kún and foster spirit of the Nigeria nationhood, what they are saying could also fan ethnic clash and genocide. Àmọ̀tẹ́kùn is not against Nigeria unity, it was created to secure southwest from rising crime of banditry, farm destruction, rape of rural women, kidnapping, armed robbery and proliferation of arms.

Crime is crime irrespective of who committed it and the security operative is charged with fighting crime, not Fulani herdsmen.

If an ethnic group is known for a particular crime, fighting criminals among them is not fighting the ethnic group. Let us be careful of how we report issues like this.

You should be more concerned about how come we're having Fulani village and bororo village deep in Yoruba land. Ask them who gave those lands to them or the R of O from govt and see cutlasses flying everywhere. I suspect we Yorubas may be under siege while not being aware.

You have answered yourself already: advanced countries.

The North has been running a Feudal system for many centuries, deliberately cutting education and enlightenment from them, while brainwashing them with Islamic and Shariah education right from birth. Many of them are even brainwashed to the extent that they believe it is their destiny to be poor and beggars: doing Almajiri up and down and that destiny does not change.

You are not in an advanced country, you are surrounded by primitive thinkers which is why to them Shariah supersedes any constitutional law.

Yes, you may yab me that I have not left my backyard; that is cool. But I dont see any greater foolishness where one is surrounded by primitives and assumes their action will mirror that of advanced nations.

I wonder. Guys like him always form Yoruba defender on this forum. Imagine attacking amotekun while leaving Fulanis who are now having villages deep in Yoruba land. I mean anytime I pass through north central states and see Fulani settlements, I usually pity the natives. How could I have known my people are deserving of such pity too?

In as much as I don't want to sound like a bigot, enough is enough to the Fulani excesses. You lot will sit down in lagos and be typing nonsense. Though I was born in Kogi, I have being to about 30 states in nails and I can tell you for free, that crime especially killing and taking over farms has being Fulani way of life from time immemorial. Around 1995 Fulani attacked my father in his farm, Kabba and took over his farm. But now it's now getting rampant, not everyone can be chicken away by funali. Why lazy lagosian like you are occupied by what bobrisky, Olamide and burnaboy are doing to themselves. Fulani are mobilising their people from all other countries to kill farmers, kidnap, rape and take over territories. While asslickers like you are too coward to admit it, the least you can do is appreciate them for stand for your lazy as$. No matter how stupid a Yoruba is he will never attack any innocent man just base on his tribe or region. They are conversant with their environment and will protect it. Haven't been to All the states in the Sw, SE, SS, NC, Some NE and NW, the hospitality Yorubas give to a stranger can not be accorded to any Yoruba in another region. So it's better to bleep yourself than ask yoruba to seek peace and be slaughtered by your Fulani master

Yes, if they bought the land, developed it and are not constituting a nuisance or threat to life of their hosts. You just appear somewhere for person farm land, build your miserable huts, pack all your miserable tribesmen populate the place, dey kill and rape people wey let you stay for their land, now you dey claim the land belongs to your tribe. When you pay for the land in question?

I can only see the hypocrisy of the yoruba people here

When a news came out that the fulanis were being chased away from A village in ebonyi state, the Yorubas were here shouting and threatening brimstone. Some even said the Igbos will be retaliated and be killed in the north.

Now, their local militias were shooting and killing innocent fulanis and all they could say is that the fulanis aren't supposed to have a village in oyo state. None of them here condemned the actions of the amotekuns.

If it's ESN issue now, u will see them running up and down this thread like dogs on heat.
