I actually saw the fare of some flight operators, it's on the high side. Saw the ones for #600k to almost #850K.

Thanks for the eye opener & advice. Those factors you mentioned are factors to consider before booking.

Also flight tickets are influenced by global holiday seasons. During Winter Christmas/New Year months, most people are home with family and prices drop-more seats than passengers During sunny summers, people want to go on vacations to sunny spots and there is a surge in demand-more people than seats. That's why summer tickets(sunny) are usually more expensive than winter(snow). Those who travelled late October November December will be cheaper than those travelling July, August

When you intend to travel? If not this month, then search between the last week of this month and early February (prices should fall by then).

Please oh, somebody help your boy, or anyone got the typical timeline for Abj response? Everyone just said it's faster, didn't see any estimated timelines, asides someone that mentioned it's possible in 3 days.
I'm asking 'cos I just want to know when to start applying pressure or download that "Redial" app if need be or if it's IRCC I should be mailing. lol.

Thanks for helping out.

Application update here.

So I sent my passport to Abj via DHL 2-way courier on the 6th of January (12:52pm), and nice enough, it was received at Abj by a "Kalu" on 7th January 10:43AM.

Now hours later, between 1:14pm to 1:16pm, I received 3 mails from VFS saying it was received and the last mail saying

"Your application, tracking ID No. Bleep has been received at the Canada Visa Application Centre, Abuja OC on 1/7/2021 12:16:10 PM and is in transit to the IRCC Office in Abuja OC for processing"

Now my question, it has been radio silence from the 7th, I was thinking there would be a mail from IRCC acknowledging that they received the passport, so I wanted to ask if this is the time to mail & call VFS or to mail IRCC.

Please what is the next expected sequence?
Thanks a lot in advance guys.

It actually depends on how busy they are. Lagos centre has more work load/applications compared to Abuja.
It usually takes between 3 to 5 working days to get your passport stamped, but it might take longer based on the number of applications being processed at the time.

At this point, you shouldn't be specific about a precise location for a school, what if the program you want to study is not in any school in Toronto. Think about that.

Now to your last sentence " 2.2 graduate ", based on that, i think you are eligible for a Post Graduate Certificate Program (PG. Cert).

Why not mention what you studied in your Undergraduate & your Work Experience (If any), cos the PG. Cert program you must go for must either tandem (relate) to what you studied in school or your work experience, with that you will get possible Suggestions of schools & programs you can apply to, and you might even be lucky the PG. Cert program you want to study is being offered in a school located in Toronto & it can go either way, so as per location, brace yourself up for the uncertainty.

Hello Fam,

I have applied for Masters in two universities in Canada: UniOttawa and Carleton University. The courses are Digital Transformation/Innovation and Technology Innovation Mgt respectively.

I graduated with 2.1 (GPA 3.9) in Marketing, and has worked for over 5 years as Executive Assistant, with a certification in Project Mgt; combined with training in Digital Marketing.

Please do you think my intended courses align fully well with my academic and professional background, to guarantee me admission and visa?

Thanks.

Have u given your biometrics? if possible consider doing an upfront medicals.

Also is there a possibility of deferring the admission in case you do not get feedback in time?

Yes I have done my biometrics....
Deferment is not what am not so sure about because I have deferred once...that was why I had to start the class online..
Please like how much does medicals cost and are there any designated hospitals here in lagos?
Thanks in advance.

Good evening to everyone, thanks to all those who are assisting with answers to questions.

Please would like to make enquiry, in what way can one go about school fees through loan? I have heard about Prodigy finance, but they have selected schools and programs they sponsor. Are there other ways like Microfinance in Nigeria that can provide that facility like education loan

Thank you

Why is everyone rushing to Canada instead of Germany where the tuition is free?

I think I should jump ship to Canada.

I've thought of this too. Germany is tuition free but Canada is better for students because it's easy to integrate and move around (no language barrier).

Then the block account ish. Even one's parents might be reluctant to put huge sums of money in a block account, talk less of a distant relative or guardian.

Hello @Winner0718,

I believe @Frankrobbn1 provided a response to this earlier. However, what I understand based on the NSE request letter that I received is that IRCC wants the account balance as at the time of generating MBS to show POF that'll be enough for at least your 6months stay in Canada (meaning you can have more) and you'll provide a 12months statement of account using MBS.

30k CAD was advertised online when IRCC first announced the NSE pilot program and the required documents were listed in that communication, you can google this. This is the reason everyone has been ensuring to have at least 30k CAD as account balance in one or multiple accounts owned by the applicant, sponsor or both as at the time of generating MBS. Hope this helps? All the best.

It will end in praise for us all...

Sir, Frankrobbn1... University of Regina accepts only WAEC...I'm using NECO result.
Frankrobbn1:

I will guide you through your immigration journey to Canada and with grace being by your side you will be successful. However, my professional advice for you is to seek admission at University of Regina than an undergraduate diploma at College of the North Atlantic, Newfoundland and Labrador. My reason being that your chances of approval success is very slim with the aforementioned College. I want to believe its because the school is cheap, hence you selected it as your preferred option. On the other hand, I'm giving you my own personal advice to ignore applying for your visa with the school. When you've successfully gained admission for a direct program at University of Regina, come back here for assistance and I'll gladly put you in the right direction.

It will end in praise.

Good evening everyone,

I have a question. Is it possible to change course immediately after arriving Canada but in the same school? That's before registering for a course.

Hello
Your closing balance would be sufficient, but I'd like to ask if you were able to show the VO that you or your sponsor can generate more funds to cater for subsequent years, depending on your course and the duration.

Secondly, it's completely your choice to go for upfront medicals. If you decide not to, IRCC will ask you to go for one if you're qualified. Upfront medicals only save you time. Doesn't influence the outcome of your application.

I wish you luck.

IT WILL END IN PRAISES IN THE SHORTEST POSSIBLE TIME

Can you help with a format of the waiver letter you wrote up
I only composed a letter stating that. I am from Nigeria and Nigerians dont need IELTS to study in canada and I just want to do the programme ASAP and come back to Nigeria. I also started that the time frame was too short to prepare for IELTS so I'm not sure I can write it now. Lastly i pointed out that my school isnt requesting for IELTS, so it's not important in my case..I addressed to the anifowoshe office, v.i. and that's all, I uploaded it in the IELTS space and backed it up with faith...

[Hi OtunbaTee, please can I get a copy of the mail you sent for fast tracking your application because mine has exceeded the 20 days NSE duration. did you blind copy all the email address or you just copied all and sent to them once? Please assist in including the email addresses to send the mail.
