Obiozor emerged victorious after defeating two other contestants in the election held yesterday in Owerri.

Obiozor, a former Ambassador to the United States and Israel, polled a total of 304 votes to defeat Chief Valentine Oparaocha who scored a total of 15 votes and Chief Uju Savior Okoro who had three votes.

My own stance on this whole Ikwerre issue is that they can claim anything they want to be, na that one concern them... heck they can even change the Benin origin story tomorrow and claim they descended from planet Mars, na their shelenge be that. This ikweree matter is very annoying. Anytime this matter comes up and i see the reaction of some igbos,my blood begins to boil. Sometimes I wonder what is wrong with nndigbo. How can you keep accepting a people that have refused and rejected you before the world. This matter did not start today.
