By first typing "lots of giants to stand on" even before acknowledging the extensive skills of these guys, you clearly aimed at watering down thier achievements a bit or, at least, gave the impression. The fact that they had giants to stand on is a welcome piece of information that would have been better appreciated if you had first acknowledged their adroitness. Our electronic engineers have thousands of giants to stand on yet they haven't been able to manufacture a marketable toy radio. These guys don't need to be the first to be appreciated especially in a country like Nigeria. Just saying.
