Good day everyone. Please permit me to share my story. I started this Canada talk since 2012/2013 when I graduated from secondary school then I later went to one university in ghana. Fast forward to 2018 when I was serving and I still wanted to travel then 2020 came and j started my process, I was miraculously able to raise 1m cause when I suggested Canada to my parents they said no. So before I started, a friend gave me an agents number which I called and he said I can't get admission for masters with my 2.2 and that even if I apply for pgd I have 20% chance of getting visa, I later went home and prayed and I applied and I got admission into 2 schools in Canada and chose Memorial and I paid part of my tuition which was also above the initial deposit and I wrote my ielts, which I just prepared for 3 days and I passed. So after all this I started thinking of where will I get statements since my parents are refusing to sponsor or help in anyway, then I spoke with ese and she told me to pray and have faith, although I contacted some people who were telling me to pay 500k, 400k for statements of just 10m. So I finally decided to go back and ask my parents with the help of my sister and Glory be to God my parents agreed and gave me statements of 15m which was more than what other were offering for 500k. Luckily for me I was able to submit my application this morning by 3am. I Just want to Say Thank you so much y'all for encouraging everyone and also advising everyone. I'm grateful, for those yet to apply and still in process, commit everything to God and he will do it. Peace |

Congrats on your resilience so far, I pray it ends in praise. A friend of mine is trying to get admission into memorial but most courses require a 2.1 or B average. Which prog did you apply for and what did you do differently? Is it a masters prog? Rootiab: |

Simyowe:You won't see a Canadian school listing HND as part of their requirement. If you check the minimum requirements for PG. Cert in Mechatronics at Fleming College, it says Completion of an Ontario College Diploma, Ontario College Advanced Diploma, Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field That equivalent means an HND holder can apply for a PG. Cert., Infact there are lotz of members in this forum that got a PG. Cert Admission with their HND. So get your - HND Transcript (not Statement of Result) - HND Certificate, and other required documents by the school then apply for a PG.Cert in any of the following Electrical Engineering related program Conestoga College - Embedded Systems Development (Optional Co-op) (2 years PGC-Post Graduate Certificate Program) Fanshawe College - PGC, Electronics and Embedded Systems Development Fleming College - PGC Mechatronics |

Good afternoon all. I submitted an application for work permit (a year postdoc) on January 4, 2021. I added my wife's open work permit and a 5yr old daughter for visitor visa to my application. I received medical requests for myself and wife yesterday (14 days after submission). Pls is there anything wrong with my daughter's application for not receiving medical request? |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Akannitommy: 1:50pm On Jan 17, 2021 |
@milkytins , Congratulations in advance. There is nothing wrong with the child application but if it is a visitor visa (for the child), that may explain the delay. Study and work permit are being prioritized above visitors at this time due to the pandemic. I am sure latest after your approvals (which are very imminent), you will get update on your child's application. However, my advice is that you do upfront medical for the child atthe same time you are doing yours to avoid returning for it in a few days/weeks. Ire oh! It shall end in praises. milkytins: |
