Thiwhy:
Pls I need answers to some questions
Can I secure a 2years pgd/c with HND( upper credit) in any school in Canada?
Do I need to evaluate with Wes or I can apply with my transcript directly?
Lastly, i won’t mind if anyone can help me with some of this schools I can apply to with Hnd
Thanks

See my responses below:

1. Yes, you can secure a 2 year PGD/C program with a HND (Upper Credit).... Conestoga College, Humber College or Fanshawe College are good options for you.

2. You don't need WES prior to applying to these schools, your regular transcripts is adequate for the process.

3. The schools are already mentioned above.

To your last Question,

Why not mention what you studied in your HND so you can be able to get Suggestions on PG.Cert program & school you can apply to

Hello @Frankrobbn1,

Please clarify the bolded, has this always been the case or is this a new development? I'm asking becuase I have read on this thread and other platforms how difficult it can be to convince the VO in a case of dual intent. If it's legitimate, why is it an issue convincing the VO? Kindly touchlight this for more learning. Thanks for always.

It will end in praise for us all...

Frankrobbn1:

You have to provide documents to demonstrate that you've a connection with your sponsor. It can be either through payment of your first year tuition or pictures you took with your sponsor in the past.

You can process both applications (PR and study permit) at the same. As stated on IRCC website, its legitimate to have dual intent.

IELTS general option is acceptable for the NSE program..

Hello @Frankrobbn1,

Is it advisable to be raising Webforms to Nairobi on a daily basis.

Also, can I maintain a single mail trail in sending them mails daily or do I have to send a new mail everyday? @OtunbaTee, how did you handle this part when you were still expecting?

It will end in praise for us all...

Frankrobbn1:

Contact the IRCC office in Nairobi Via Webform to inquire about the status and finalization of your application.

Hello good people.

I submitted my application on 13th and had biometrics on 15th. I'll like to know when I can start to make use of the little money I provided in my personal acc statement (about 2m). I have needs to attend to, I don't know if I'm safe to start to use the money. How safe is that?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by kelvine95: 2:58pm On Jan 17, 2021
I was denied Visa for;

1. I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.
2. I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.

And I got my gcms notes just now. Please note that I got a funding of 26,100 cad per year for 2 years. My tuition is 18,300 cad for first year and around 12,000 cad for 2nd year. I totally understand the comments from the visa officer aside for the *unreasonable cost*, since my tuition us fully covered, why is that still a problem?

I also noticed that the VO probably did not read my application correctly, since I applied to Dalhousie University and not University of Regina.

Good day everyone. Please permit me to share my story.
I started this Canada talk since 2012/2013 when I graduated from secondary school then I later went to one university in ghana. Fast forward to 2018 when I was serving and I still wanted to travel then 2020 came and j started my process, I was miraculously able to raise 1m cause when I suggested Canada to my parents they said no. So before I started, a friend gave me an agents number which I called and he said I can't get admission for masters with my 2.2 and that even if I apply for pgd I have 20% chance of getting visa, I later went home and prayed and I applied and I got admission into 2 schools in Canada and chose Memorial and I paid part of my tuition which was also above the initial deposit and I wrote my ielts, which I just prepared for 3 days and I passed. So after all this I started thinking of where will I get statements since my parents are refusing to sponsor or help in anyway, then I spoke with ese and she told me to pray and have faith, although I contacted some people who were telling me to pay 500k, 400k for statements of just 10m. So I finally decided to go back and ask my parents with the help of my sister and Glory be to God my parents agreed and gave me statements of 15m which was more than what other were offering for 500k. Luckily for me I was able to submit my application this morning by 3am. I Just want to Say Thank you so much y'all for encouraging everyone and also advising everyone. I'm grateful, for those yet to apply and still in process, commit everything to God and he will do it. Peace

Hello house,
I have a conditional acceptance letter to study at a university in canada.
Can I apply for my study permit with this letter in Nigeria or will it reduce my chances of getting approved?
The condition is that I send my official documents which my previous post secondary school is still processing.

Also, is it possible to apply for the NSE from the start of the application process?

I'm just here to lift up your spirit. Try your best in this journey, because at the other side of winning you will have so much options. I got MEng admission in 2019, got refused two times before I finally got the visa in 2020. Since MEng is costly than MSc without scholarship opportunities even, I told myself I will try hard to be transferred to MSc within the first term no matter how hard it will be. Although I paid the first instalment for MEng but today I have been successfully transferred to MSc and now I can apply to several scholarships.

If you're giving up already please don't because there are many benefits in Canada to enjoy o.

Hi,

I am a fully funded applicant. I learnt a lot after I applied, here. I was not working when I submitted my application. But presently, can my mum government employment letter and land be used to strengthen my home ties?

I sent my siblings birth certificate via webform.

I wanna ask something that might sound foolish or insensible, pls don't be offended...

For those who has gotten their visa or are currently self sponsoring their schooling...

How do you guys pay for your tuition fees and the same time focus on study?? Like the money is so huge and you also have accommodation and all to take care of?

I got admission but I am actually scared because I will be the one sponsoring my education and all... I am 18 thanks.

You just said you 18 wow and you are sponsoring yourself that's interesting that's a good one but every money that comes into your account lump sum especially can be questioned and the VO'S might raise an eye brow considering your age that you are self sponsored so all these has to be explained cuz you will actually need to present your POF to cover your tuition fees+living expenses of 10k CAD+3k for other expenses which might sum up to 9m or more depending on your tuition Fees.So that's where a sponsor comes into play cuz the VO'S themselves knows the money is huge especially if you are young and not started earning enough streams of income even if you are earning you still have other financial commitment you have to meet up with so a sponsor would back it up in the real Sense hence the essentiality of a sponsor if need be

Hello GreatMage,

I'm thinking you might need to show a sponsor.

Would you be kind enough to share your source of income as a self sponsored Student?

Or do you have a sponsor who's gonna deposit all the money you need into your account?

I'll look to hear from other more experienced persons.

Hi everyone, I’m having issues paying my school fees due to CBN restricting payments from Nigeria to abroad. Now my question is, can I put in receipt of the deposit paid in my visa application and when I submit my application I can add the receipt of my full first term tuition fees or does anyone have an idea on how I can pay my tuition fees?
I would be expecting a reply. Thank you

I will advise against submitting both a Study Permit and a PR at the time same time. Study Permit require you to convince the VO of your intention to return after study. How can you do that with a parallel Permanent Residence application?

Secondly, PR applications are more certain than TRVs, why apply for a Study Permit as an international student if you qualify and have been invited to apply for a PR?

The reason on the GCMS note doesn't make any sense to me. It is just too subjective.

What is your intended program of study versus your background?
