Many factors are standing in the way of school resumption.
1) ASUU strike- The lecturers have not been settled fully. Arrears have not been paid yet and salaries are still owed.

2) Covid19- There are concerns about the rising cases of coronavirus cases in the country and federal Universities are not well funded to provide materials for prevention protocols. Water for hand washing is even a problem in hostels.

3) Nasu/Ssanu Strike- The Joint Union are on strike to press their displeasure over the sharing of the proposed earned allowances.

With all these factors,Are schools really going to resume this month?

I strongly Doubt it

The question should be,"would public universities resume"

So many hurdles. I see some reopening and shutting down again. Some are lying to themselves that they're ready. Some are planning full scale resumption . Some are yet to prove ASUU & other stakeholders wrong on reopening. Some might have plans in place but it's going to be flouted as par Nigeria. Then add ASUU, NASU . So who knows, we'll see .

That's how I came to Abuja since March last year to come and school, I didn't even enter the school gate they asked us to go back that corona wants to happen

For the very first time in a long while, I want to go back to school ..

When house of reps members are already proposing three months break. Most of them,their kids are not even studying in Nigeria.

Education is the key to success,but in this country,seems the key is lost in the ocean.

Millions of unemployed graduates,tell me,how most will be interested in it.

Private universities should resume. They have less hindrances. For public, well let's see.

My pikin done give me list already. If they don’t resume, it will pay my account balance (for now) but would be detrimental to her future.
