Abegi...which one be fare doesn't fit the car...people are using 2016 corolla, 2014 Camry, 2012 Matrix, and different SUVs. Warts just said he uses Lexus hybrid...most important thing is knowing cost of parts, fuel consumption and durability of the car.

The car is good for the business:
fuel consumption is good, Cost of parts are generally fair and Car is strong and durable... Its a Honda afteral.
I assume u have it already but if u want to buy then I advise u go for an earlier year cos of cost of purchase.

Thank you. I have it already

Why 12? civic 06-08 is perfectly okay and you won't hurt your acct to purchase them. They have cool interior as well

Its good to farabale at times before talking/typing.

I don't think wart ever said he drives on Uber and personal driving is very different from commercial because your ROI matters.

Are you still thinking or you know.
Anyway, has your post changed the fact or the the points I made? Have you provided more info, or shed more light to the original question?? If not then I just wish I had an appropriate meme for u cos I don't know what to say.

I don't just get it when someone reads a post only to look for what to demerit, discredit or debase rather than the overall message the person is trying to convey. This is always d basis of derailment, out of point arguments and quarrels that lead to insults...I will not be party to that.

But let me educate you, whether Warts uses his Lexus hybrid for Uber or not, hybrids are generally very good for transportation because of the fuel economy, u may not know but fuel is d biggest and number 1 cost in this business. Albeit there are other factors and why it may not be advisable is another story but that doesn't change the fact that a Lexus Hybrid is a good car for e-hailing.

Fire on then since you have it already. People are only suggesting earlier model due to the cost of purchase as compared to 12.

No sir but you are also asking for wahala join because you really dont have an idea of the wahala drivers gives that your manager. Manage it yourself and ask for 25k or even 30k then come back and tell us if the different is worth it.

Wahala be like bicycle embarassed cool I don't want to deal with driver cos I've heard many bad tales about them although not always bad. I'm not sure I will have the time and patience.

Will this investment be worth it at the end of the day?

Before u come for me, I have driven for people, and I have people driving for me now so I don wear the two shoes.

This is global best practice, not just what I do.

I come in peace bros and what I shared according to what I stated is personal experience and practice and not global. Anyone is allowed to criticise, amend, edit or adjust to suit their own practice.

I also get some points from your expertise and method.

Nice one boss

I stand to be corrected. Hybrids are not a good car for ehailing in Lagos

Please don't misinform people abeg. The simple reason is because there are very few technicians that can handle it.

Cars are machines and their efficiency is below a 100%. If your hybrid car stops at Alakuko, or a bus stop at Shangisha, are you advising the driver to just call anyone to look at it?

And please stop talking about fuel. The number cost in this business is maintenance.

I can net 20k driving on batteries alone, and a bad shock absorber would take it all away

Go and check your plate number here and see if you owe Lagos state money.

Stop beating the traffic lights especially those ones that have camera on top of it.

Get it registered and recruit a driver for it then. 25k is standard for a corolla. Don't do 100% maintenance but pls dont ask me "why?"

Fix the car to a good standard, that's if it has any issue. Carry out the first servicing. Body work? Fix it and spray.

The driver should be taking care of servicing at every 2000 or 3000miles. This us how you shiuld go about it.

Reset the "A" odo meter then tell him to bring the car to you @every 2000,2500 or 3000miles (according to professional advice) for servicing and when he's coming he should come along side a semi synthetic oil (it's N5,500 for the now). Oil filter maybe 1500 or the 2.5k own. But if you choose to use full synthetic Sir please know that no driver will be ready to do that from his/her pocket ooh so you may have to come on that.

As for the maintenance, let driver handle minor issues but if at the end of the month the accumulation on general maintenance that very minth is above 10k and within 20k on his path with a total remittance of N100k, then it will be nice of you to do a refund to him like a bonus for that month.

For cases of accident, theft and other kinds... Sir pls get a comprehensive insurance. For minor scratches and bashes driver should be able to take care of it without even involving you or the insurance company. Me if I jam person or person jam me I take care of it without even involving my partner unless it's very serious. i.e how me I work ooh. I can't talk for another person.

Insurance companies wey get sense should know that they should install a tracker on their cars. You can install yourself for person tracking and to aviod stories like the one luxerydriver posted lately on his channel.

P.S: pictorial evidence of repairs in your absence should be forwarded to you WhatsApp for records keeping.

Am I missing any thing? Please ask where necessary.

These are the few managerial skills I've acquired in my few years on the hustle.

And you complain of jp 30k a week. So a partner should remit 25k a week and should be responsible for the car maintenance and minor fixes, if you follow this advice you car will not last 7month.

I see people here advising on how Hybrids are very good for ehailing

But this is not Texas, Georgia or London..

This is Nigeria; a place where your hybrid car has to go through bumpy and dusty roads, flooded road and spend hours in traffic, most of the time

Let's not talk about how it would be difficult to find technicians when issues arise

Make we dey watch sha grin

people like you will rough handle owners car simply because they're responsible for repairs and maintenance... Even when accident happens you'll pocket money given to you and then park car at owner's place.

But change the narratives to them and see how they change their driving pattern and recklessness changes and reduces and the stories stops.
