I never knew "Ofe Owerri" actually exists . I have always thought it means good life , I mean drawing conclusion from the context it was used in that song.

That's the main ingredient with ùkazi. Reason it's termed costly soup. Well done.

Premium Ofe Owerri is cooked with stock fish (not the head only, but the head first for its flavour) and dry fish.

Even the palm oil, we substitute for palm fruit (Akwu/banga) for that super rich taste

No I don’t used ogiri for ofe owerri. I don’t use ogiri on a regular to start with, it is not something I grew up eating. However, I use palm fruits for my okazi and oha- that is what we use where I come from.

Ofe Owerri is a luxurious soup straight out of Imo State. The soup is well rated that it has a song named after it. So, if you know the classic song, Ofe Owere by Oriental Brothers and you still haven’t gotten to know its history, you will know today, but if you haven’t ever heard the song, check YouTube.
