The act of removing last seen and putting off read receipt, it is very rude and disrespectful, last seen can be excused, but you see that read receipt, how will someone know his/her chat has been read? Even if one gets a reply afterward without the ticks turning blue, It still doesn't speak well of whoever does that cos he/she will be seen in a negative kind of way, when the read receipt is on, the person will actually appreciate the fact that his/her chat has been read, then wait for a reply at anytime

Imagine doing that to an elderly person, my brother did it to my Dad(removing read receipt), old man thought his whatsapp had problem, when he explained it to him, my Dad gave him a hella lecture he can't forget in a hurry, then instructed him to put it back on


I actually don't chat with any of my contacts that has its read receipt off, once I notice it, I immediately tune out, I recently asked one why he turned off his own, he gave no tangible reason, I politely told him I won't chat him anymore

So has anyone had same experience? How do you feel about it? I'd like us to share thoughts on it.....

I hate that one, it is usually done for ulterior motives. Fear people who do that and people that don't put profile photo especially when you are in a relationship with them, e get why

Its a way to tell some people who think they're too big to view ur status update until u view theirs that u don't give a single fûck.
I think I should also turn off my last seen too...I hate people monitoring me and being too critical.

Not everyone likes taking pictures..like me..I don't use my pictures as my dp...I don't even post my pictures on my status..everyone is different..Nigerians like looking for deeper meanings dat don't exist

I have never used my photo as my profile pic, not even status. I rarely take a photo, maybe 1 in 3 or 4 months. I hope no issue sha

Any other fool won't be tolerated for no reason,
Some do it so they can check/see statuses without the owner of the status knowing they've seen it.
Weird,petty,jobless ,ambitionless,useless people with a lot of time in their hands in my opinion.

imagine trying to relax on a Sunday then ur whatsapp is bombed with urgent 2k msgs, or come back to office when you suppose rest?
