"Doyin Okupe, No Amount Of Prayer Can Change Your Son's Sexual Orientation"- Lawyer Writes

A legal practitioner has given an opinion on Doyin Okupe's reaction to his son coming out as gay, IgbereTV reports.

Doyin Okupe had reacted to his son's sexual orientation by stating clearly that he is "vehemently opposed to homosexuality" and believes what his son is going through is "a major spiritual challenge"

But Jake Okechukwu Effoduh, a lawyer, told the former presidential aide that he should accept his son and stop trying to change him.

He wrote;

"Dear Doyin Okupe, no amount of prayer can change ur son's sexual orientation. The same way no amount of prayer can change his race. Instead, pray for him to grow in confidence, wellness and self-acceptance. The world will hate and reject him, don’t join them. Accept your own son."

gays everywhere

when I comes to this sexuality or gay matters, am tight lipped because to me its not a joke and looks more phycological than spiritual or even mental issues...
I stopped judging or looking at them as dirty sinners when the only son of my head pastor in assemblies of GOD church back in lag sent his son abroad for study and he returned back home as gay..
couldn't say a word because this was the same "GODLY" child that my parents were comparing me with and asking me to emulate..
the pastor cried and fasted for weeks and month forna change but had to let go when he heard his son went back abroad n got married to his gay bride..
the only prayer is that may the blessings of the LORD brings peace and adds no sorrow as time goes by..
