Bro in this context, you are not remotely political correct but delusional. If the bolded is correct by any stretch of imagination, it is because of the seemingly threat of Fulani herdsmen. ESN is currently launched and could not have been reason your folks in Ihioma-Okporo axis are afraid of random kidnap operations. The Fulani herdsmen are the reason. For Orlu sake, grow some balls.

The bolded doesn’t seem to come from a sane person.
Roman Empire would have crumbled on arrival if the emperors concentrated first on developing Rome at a faster pace than London, Naples, Madrid, etc.
How can a sane person tell, say Delta State government, to develop only Asaba at faster pace but let Warri, Agbor, Sapele wait? Or tell Nnewi, Onitsha to wait until Awka is fully developed faster by government? Nearly every development you find in Asaba, for example, has a replica in Warri.
There’s nothing man can’t hear from these Owerri things and people in Imo state.
Anyhow, God butters Owerri bread with governors who hardly understood their left from their right since 2007, as one was planting flowers in Owerri, the other said he was building Owerri mega city; mega city without public water supply system.

Nobody can yet see the direction of the present governor.

Don't worry, u won't get the point now....

Are you sure about the bolded? Sandy soil is not good for any foundation. There are other reasons for scrapping the road three feet deep before refill.

I am sure red moil is not good either

What point? Your point that governors develop state capital at a faster pace than other urban centers in the same state?

Have you ever stepped out of Nigeria? Do you know that there are state capitals less developed than the other urban areas in the same state?

No state or provincial or regional government in Europe or USA or Asia would dare develop the state or provincial or regional headquarters faster than the rest of the state by ignoring to provide the basic development infrastructures in towns outside the state’s capital, or provincial or regional headquarters, without getting impeached by the legislative house of the state, province or region.
Una designed a falsehood in Imo that state capital must get accelerated development first. Show readers any backing for that design in Nigeria’s 1999 Constitution. It doesn’t exist.
Now Imo is fast losing its historic towns of Okigwe and Orlu returned to rural area status. You people not from Orlu and Okigwe are happy.

Oga, we can easily have a secured neighborhood in Orlu area only if there are institutions of government that attract government attention to Orlu area. For now, there are none.

No insult intended: Security for an area does not come from a vacuum. Corollary; if there are no government institutions in an area, government has no interest in securing the area from miscreants.
Did you notice when former governor Rochas Okorocha bought many Police Patrol Vans and designated ALL of them to patrol Owerri Metropolis?
He invited then Inspector General of Police to launch the Patrol vans. The Inspector General of Police said: “at least, people of Imo state shall henceforth sleep with two eyes closed.” What does that tell you? Imo state reduced to become Owerri capital territory.

Owerri holds Orlu and Okigwe areas on the jugular through restriction of all tertiary education institutions and social amenities of government in Imo state to Owerri. Result: continued migration of people from Orlu and Okigwe districts into Owerri area.

Mass education for natives of Owerri senatorial district deriving from closeness to multi faculty
tertiary education institutions littered all over Owerri district - that’s the magic wand.

Don’t dowplay the educational advantages restricted to natives of Owerri senatorial district in Imo state for people from Owerri senatorial district. The media propaganda from these largely better-informed natives of Owerri senatorial district are enough to blackmail the best of governors of Imo state to engage in continued urban development and expansion of Owerri area, but ignore the badly-informed “Orlu wu Eze” group and their zone to continue with support for governors from Orlu senatorial district to govern Imo state with no government development institutions and amenities in their Orlu senatorial district.

You can only make this type of statement if you lived in Orlu and Owerri at the same time. In 1982, I lived in Owerri but travel to Orlu every other day via Owerri\Orlu road which terminated at the T-junction the goes to Aji road. There is no human with good intellect that could remotely insinuate that urban expansion in Orlu and Owerri was nearly at the same rate.

Dude, vehicular number plates of Orlu and Owerri were nearly running equal in number of vehicles registrations during the 1980s, for example of how to gauge rates of urban development between cities then.

I gave you other examples with upgrading of Analog land lines telephone exchanges in Owerri and Orlu then to Digital exchanges, as well as public water supply system existing in Owerri and Orlu then.

It was as a result of Owerri having all tertiary education institutions of government in Imo state, as well as Orlu losing its public water supply system, that provoked population influx to Owerri from Orlu and Okigwe zones. That led to rapid urban expansion in Owerri. Not because Owerri is state capital.

Owerri was just another semi urban center when it was made capital of Imo state.

ESN and the Nigerian Army are in a thug of war in Orlu. I learned that the ESN is giving it hot to the Army. People cannot come out of their houses. Okporo Orlu is worst hit. The Nigerian Army are burning innocent people’s homes.

What is the Supreme Court Governor doing about it? Absolutely nothing.

ESN went to kill 2 soldiers unprovoked and you think they will lie low? When I was condemning ESN some people who are more Igbo and more courageous than us were insulting us and calling us Efulefu. Let them go and show their strength now on Orlu.

The bolded is laughable and induced me to remember old folklore about Orlu. It is easier to obtain a vehicular number plate from Orlu than Owerri. Must of the peeps who live in Owerri will go to Orlu or any other LGA headquarter to register their rides. I did the same thing while I lived in Owerri and most of my vehicles were registered in Orlu or even Okigwe.

If you've seen them others have not, I came to this forum about 2-3 years ago and don't have time to go through all 700+ pages before posting a picture. You can also help by posting new ones since you have more insight than I do.

PRESS BRIEFING BY GOVERNOR HOPE UZODIMMA ON THE SECURITY SITUATION IN ORLU ZONE, MONDAY, JANUARY 25 2021

This afternoon, I received a very disturbing report on the activities of a group of Militants who unleashed a shooting spree in the Orlu area of the state, killing and maiming innocent citizen in the process

I am totally appauled by this sad report which appears to paint a picture of near breakdown of law and order in the Orlu area. The government condemns in its entirety this act of extreme hooliganism and brigandage. This is completely unacceptable to this administration. Those behind this callous barbarism will surely regret their actions.

Consequently, I have directed the security agencies to fish out without fail, all those behind the carnage and immediately bring them to book. Let no one be in any doubt that the perpetrators of this dastardly act will ever escape justice. I assure them that they will pay for for their cruelty against a peace loving, innocent people

As an interim measure to immediately restore the peace in Orlu zone, a dusk to dawn curfew (6 pm to 6 am) is hereby imposed in the following Local Government Areas of Orlu zone; namely; Orlu, Orsu, Oru East, Oru West, Ideato North, Ideao South, Njaba, Isu, Nwangele and Nkwerre.

All law-abiding citizens are advised to comply strictly with the curfew as announced. Anyone caught violating the curfew will be treated as a suspect.

The government wants to assure all Imo people that the situation in Orlu area is under control. Security operatives have been deployed on a 24-hour patrol of the zone. Equally, every security measure necessary has been put in place to ensure that law-abiding citizens can go about their businesses in the affected areas without any fear of molestation.

The government sincerely condones with the families of the bereaved and all the victims of the unfortunate incident. I assure them that those who committed the heinous crime against them and their loved ones will never go unfurnished.

Sen. Hope Uzodimma

Governor
