200% for Owerri?

100% of federal allocations to the 27 LGAs and Imo state to develop Owerri.

The other 100% from the federal allocations of Anambra or Abia state government and LGAs to develop Owerri.

Half education is a huge disease for some in Imo state.
That half education is reason why in 40 years, nearly all federal allocations to Imo state and its LGAs are unconstitutionally channeled to developing Owerri at the loss of the other urban and rural areas of Imo state.
If your Owerri gets 100% priority from IMSG, rest of the state shall remain standstill. Poor you.

I said 200 percent priority not allocation...

One of our biggest problems as Igbos is primitive clannishness. We are too individualistic to the extent that we don't identify with good things or common good except it is done particularly for our clan, that's crab mentality!

This noise about Owerri-centric whatever is nothing but bul.shit raised to power 10. Owerri is Imo State's capital and largest city. If someone from Abia state should complain that their governors are focusing on Umuahia and neglecting Aba, he would have a big point because Aba is state's economic, commercial and industrial centre, Aba is the proverbial goose that lays the golden egg and same applies to Onitsha in Anambra state. States like Abia, Delta and Anambra are different from states like Imo, Rivers, Cross River, Enugu or Ebonyi etc.

You don't understand economics and how to make optimal use of scarce resources. If the state government should start developing every town in Imo State at the same time, the state will go bankrupt yet everywhere will still be mediocre. The state won't be able to attract foreign or even local investors because nowhere is decent enough for them to stay. I'm not saying other places should be completely neglected, no government should provide basic amenities like roads and pipe borne water, but the focus must be on Owerri because we don't have any other options. If you like, sink all our allocations on Orlu, it won't bring any tangible outcome for the entire state but if Owerri is developed, the impact will reach the entire state.

You claim there are ghettos around Naze, Egbu and other suburbs of Owerri but that's a big lie. Where is the ghetto located at Naze? Where is the ghetto located at Egbu? These are suburbs and Owerri don't have ghettos like we see in other cities.

The growth of Owerri is even private sector driven because there is nothing extraordinary the state government is doing here that is not being done in Orlu yet people keep envying Owerri for no good reason.

What is Wike doing in Rivers State outside P.H despite being a rich state? What is Cross River State government doing in Cross River outside Calabar? Ebonyi nko? Now, let me even tell you something, towns and cities in Nigeria outside the state capitals grow based on their own strength and willingness/capacity of locals. A good example is Nnewi. Anambra state did nothing for them yet the city has become a force to reckon with based on their indigenes who chose to invest at home. They didn't go about crying and lamenting like some of you from Orlu are doing, waiting for a government that can't even pay salaries to change their fortunes. Imo state government have done far more for Orlu than Anambra state government did for Nnewi and that's a fact! You will cry and lament forever and Orlu will still be where it is if you fail to do your homework. Orlu people are known to have dominated a lucrative sector in Nigeria like drugs. The state government has supported by building the biggest market in Imo State in Orlu, now what is stopping Orlu people from making their town the hub of pharmaceuticals in Nigeria like Nnewi made their own town the hub of vehicles and spare parts in Nigeria? Start siting your pharmaceutical factories and Warehouses in Orlu for a start, that is the smart thing you should be advocating for instead of crying that Owerri is developing instead of Orlu.

Gosh, you all should stop this crab mentality in this 2021, please!!

Primitive greed over your harlotry business in Owerri is what drives you with multiple monikers to posit that only Owerri deserves to have modern institutions of government that bring development and modernity wherever located.
Look yourself in the mirror; you are sick, if not, no normal person would devote all these time on one subject: let Owerri consume the other urban centres it started Imo state with.
No reasonable person from Owerri would campaign for migration of most of the people in Imo state into Owerri - that’s the implication of your campaign.

When we give 100% priority to Owerri, not to talk about your 200%, what is the percentage priority left for rest of Imo state?

That means Awoomamma, for example, shall remain as it is till Owerri develops like London or New York. One Awoomamma ignoramus here has been running naked in the market place for every government institution of development in Imo state to be in Owerri.

One bit of sense you don't have. Village man, educated and enlightened people from Orlu are embarrassed by your foolishness.

You don't represent Orlu people, you're just a noise maker seeking for attention.

If you have sense and not a noisemaker, you would have seen that almost all the pictures being posted here are private investments by human beings like you yet all you do is to be pouring spit everywhere and crying like a fool about how Orlu is abandoned. Since you hate Owerri so much in your small mind, why not invest in Orlu and campaign for others to do so too?

Are you sure you're mentally okay, because normal people don't behave the way you do.

Shame on you!

BastardWike,

NwaforIgbo.

Research: before 1976 when Owerri was named capital of Imo state, only Cooperative Bank of then East Central State existed in Owerri, Orlu, Okigwe.

These places were same rural village status then.

Poorly informed governors, mainly from Imo West Senatorial zone were sold the dummy about state capital must be developed first.
They swallowed the falsehood hook, line and sinker.

It’s sad to see people from Owerri calling rest of Imo state rural villages because of the misdeeds of governors from Orlu senatorial zone who don’t believe that pipe borne water supply system, tertiary education institutions and urban roads and drainage systems can also be in their Orlu senatorial district.

Take your miserable and sadist self out of this place, you're just a nuisance here.

Have you even tried to highlight positive things about Orlu?

Haven you tried to list facts and figures of good things in Orlu investors can take advantage of?

Have you ever shown pictures of Orlu here despite all the noise you make here?

Have you ever advocated for Orlu people that dominate drug business in Nigeria to take advantage of the international market in Orlu and build their factories or warehouses there?

It's your type that would be doing juju and other fetish things to harm others that are progressing instead of working hard and smart to develop yourself.

Efulefu.

From the bolded, I deduce that you are clanish, tribalistic, ethnocentric and primitive....

Acting and behaving like a savage.. Owerri is the capital of Imo state, and it deserves the attention tis getting...

There is a reaon why they make a part of a state the capital, a reason illitrates and clanish people like you will never understand.

Development is best achieved concentrated than diffused especially when there is limited resources.

If development is best concentrated in a place and wait to spread, Owerri would remain a village today waiting for Lagos to expand and absorb Owerri as one city.

But who is this writing like a foolish militant?

Maybe I should add "especially when there is limited resources"..

Imo state cannot develop Owerri and Orlu at the same pace.. You need to get that into your stupid skull.... We no rich reach that level!

How many people live in Orlu for example? How many people do business in Orlu.. Orlu is just a developing area for now that cannot contribute to the GDP of Imo State.... Is it not wise to invest in the cash-cow so that it will produce more resources for the rest of the cow?

Abia will make more money concentrating development effort in Aba than Umahia.. Its not about being emotional, its about knowing a profitable venture and maximizing its profit.....

Stop writing like a sonofabitch. Orlu population is slightly above half the population of Owerri. This Owerri population is made up by nearly 300,000 mobile students.

Who will turn rural Oguta, Ohaji/Egbema, Oru West and Oru East LGAS - to urban area, before modern development institutions start to be built in them? Your father or your mother?

Make all of una in Imo state no die put for that Owerri.

Backyard education in Owerri where you people were taught that urbanization in a state is only for state capital.

Urbanization is not a good thing. In Nigeria today Imo State is the 3rd most urbanized State after Lagos and Anambra so is it with the problems associated with excessive urbanization. Oguta as a local government has rural and urban areas but Ameshi which is the main Oguta is mostly urban with good roads.

But of the three urban towns of Imo state since 1976, none must be degraded by governors for the benefit of Owerri.

We can leave Awomama rural without roads, water supply, education institutions etc for our farm yard - this is like what BastardWike, OruExpress, Nwaforigbo, IkengaAwo, Ease, lobbies for here

You are mistaking my point.... I am not saying we should neglect the rural areas, I am only saying, you should not expect the same attention Owerri gets.

Owerri is where money is generated for the development of the rest of the state. Without money, you can't build roads.

Imo state needs enlightened governors who can understand the constitution and stop ploughing the federal allocations of the other local government areas into urban expansion of Owerri.
