Good afternoon everyone.

I got my refusal letter during the week and I have been trying to get another admission but I have not seen any University that takes 2.2 for masters degree.

Also, I will appreciate any hint on a University where I can study PG Cert in Mechanical Eng or Energy.

Thanks everyone.

Please house.... I need response on this

Have you tried using your GTB card?

I used my GTB card to pay for my study permit application(235CAD I think) and it went through.

You won't see a university accepting 2.2 for Mechanical Engineering for Masters. 2.1 is the minimum requirement.

Someone made a Comment some few pages back about PG. Cert in Mechanical Engineering related courses, I think you should check it out , it's in the link below

they will but first they'd call before they do. Also if you're going, endeavour to leave home by 6:30, cause the other day I left home by 6:45 and got there after 7 and I was number 12. Which before I got attended to was around 12 to 1

IOM Abuja will send your Medicals result to IRCC,
you should get a text message notifying you that your Health Assessment has been sent to IRCC

But you as the Applicant , you also need to send the E-medical sheet (scanned in PDF) to IRCC Offices via Webform & IRCC office E-mail addresses

This will guide you

Hello Elizdee
I actually looked up this course on their website it's cool and dope very nice combo and hot cake being HR..In BTW I saw a clause in the requirements that applicants with a Master's degree in the same field or closely related MUST NOT apply.Any reason why the school said that just curious you know!!!!.Does the course have a CO-OP options I thought being a 2years course there should be an opportunity for that I didn't see such information in the information section of the course

See this

PG. Cert in Physiology related programs in Canadian Colleges
https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/465#95552769

As regards Visa Chances, it boils down to many factors e.g.
- Education Gap (You graduated 2017- 4 years difference)
- Work Experience (is your work experience related to your Physiology Degree)
etc.

You would need to explain in your SOP (Statement of Purpose) to a Visa Officer (VO) with very genuine & convincing reasons why you want to study this PG. Cert. Program.

The essence of this is to show to a VO your Purpose of Visit (which is to study) is very genuine and not to elope to Canada via the Study Route.

This can be of help in writing tour SOP

Good evening Nairalanders. I want anyone that has travelled in the last two weeks to Canada with an accompanying family member (spouse or child) to share their POE experience with me. Was their any issue granting entry to the family member?

Thanks

The monthly limit on GTB naira MasterCard is now 100 dollars, it was reviewed downwards this month. He/she will not be able to use it to make payment for the visa application fee

No, I'm just curious. I don't even understand CIC. The last "donotreply" mail I got from them was the NSE request letter. Since then I haven't gotten any mail. Even when my medical was being reviewed and passed, i still didn't get a mail. I just have to keep checking my profile every minute.

Hello everyone
Please I would like your advice.
I got admission to a university in canada as a transfer student. I'm currently in Unilag but since I'm transferring and my course in starting in September, would you advice that I complete this semester even though the results of this semester won't be added to my transcripts that I'm sending?
Or should I just not register for anything this semester and focus on preparing for my IELTS and visa application?

Also, can I submit my unofficial transcript for visa application?

Thank you for your anticipated response.

Based on my own personal experience, donotreply mail drops when you have a correspondence letter from IRCC needing your immediate attention like Biometric information letter, Nigerian Student Express request letter, Letter requesting for addtional information from IRCC, Biometric Validation letter, Original Passport Request etc. Sometimes they also send a donotreply mail when they want to acknowledge to the applicant that they have received the NSE document submitted.

They rarely send donotreply mail for status update on review of medical examination, review of eligibility, review of background checks etc. Instead what you notice is a ghost update with this remark on your GC account (Application Profile/updated).

This was based on my own experience and hope this information helps.

I wish you success in your application.

like @awys said, you have to think about the step before taking it.
From what you just said, I think you can explain to the immigration officer you want to know the city more and also intend to run a course that will give you an edge before school resumes (you have to show proof of it as well).
Mind you, all these means more money to be spent, so you need to make proof of fund available just in case they ask you.
Also, your family friend can write a letter stating he will cover all your expenses within that 3 months and the said course will be online.
Thanks xo much for this eye opener, this is very insightful. God bless you

Sequel to your last paragraph, the letter my family friend should write, who should she address it to, IRCC or CBSA ?

Thanks
