No bi today. It's called eating your cake and wanting to keep it at the same time. Always trying to bend the rules and will be the first to lament that the country isn't working. Same thing I experienced during NYSC. No 21 days orientation. Most ghost at their PPAs. Get paid for doing nothing. Even during clearance these lots still want to get preferential treatment.

Oga every woman is entitled to a maternity leave whether she's married or not. Some countries sef get paternity leave so there's that. Also labor lasts from 20 minutes to days at a stretch. I've never heard of someone in labor for months, guy.

First, she didn't flaunt any rule. The 1943 rule cited has been repealed. Second, even the 1943 police act was misogynistic. Punishing one gender cause nature has made it such that only that gender bears the consequences of the actions of two people is against the basic principle of equity. Do you know that that same act also required women to take permission from their superiors before getting married? It's not surprising considering when it was written (women were seen as properties then) but what's surprising is some people still holding tightly onto it in 2021 cause they aren't the ones affected. This is not 1943, any individual should have the right to plan their life as they seem fit regardless of gender. I believe that's why the new police bill removed that section.

You're not answering my question. What is the factual justification for sacking this lady? They said it was against the police act. Now that we know the act has been repealed though not circulated, what policy has she broken? If she has broken any, then we can move onto why I think the law was misogynistic. If she hasn't, then let's both keep our sentiments aside and acknowledge the fact she should be reinstated.
