As expected, the Federal Government of Nigeria by its well-known spokesmen [you know them] will say this report is incorrect. They may even add that it is done in connivance with the opposition party. They will then make reference to pre-2015 and say, "under the previous administrations bla bla bla, corruption was rife. But under our administration, we have jailed many corrupt officials. We have even indicted Magu, etc". Watch out!!! If I were the President, I won't give any excuses and make any comparison with "previous government". I will simply put my team together to forge a way to better Nigeria by the next Transparency International assessment. But what do I know? I am not the president!!! |

That's why it's not good to sell out your people so cheaply. The President himself sold us out as a nation, he deliberately tag the whole country as being corrupt while trying to do a kind of self purification to win our votes. He failed to realise almost all the countries of the world have some level of corruption, except for those countries that have strong system put in place to resist and minimize sharp practices. Nigerian corruption is being exaggerated compare to other countries. |
