dairykidd:There is nothing good about it. No body got a First class grade to be a school teacher. Not even a lecturer. It means they are far more jobless first class graduates than the market can take. Which is bad news for the 2-1 and below folks. |

I doubt there is anything dumber than this. That you are a first class student doesn't mean you have flair for teaching or you are a good teacher. Even with training there is still that little desire to want to impact knowledge which sadly isn't weighed by academic qualifications. |

First class graduate will leave the job when they get better offers. For continuity sake, it's better you employ those that you're sure to a large extent will stay on the job. If not, before they spend 2 years on that job half of them would have moved on to better job offers or pursue a scholarship abroad. |

wrong MOVE. Why always d teaching profession. Vision less govt. Edu is mostly about the student not teachers. They should teach the kids how to read/study on their own and back it up with video edu. We need less and less teachers in a modern world. Stop over investing in the edu sector. Industrialize your state with that money instead. Let invest more on how to make money and making money. Thats the real problem of Nigeria now, not school. |
