undecided Age is really telling on Pius Anyim, no wonder he doesn't think properly.

Igbos should learn to stop referring to those Igbos outside the SE like people from other tribes. An Igbo man is an Igbo man, whether he's from Etche in Rivers, Anioma in Delta, Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon, or Gabon, it dosn't change the fact he's an Igbo man. Boundaries shouldn't define ones Igbo affinity.

Ohaneze Ndi Igbo should have been at the forefront of correcting this error but, it seems they are also among those fuelling it for their political gains.

A Jew will first identify as a Jew before referring to any other nationality, so the same should imply for Ndi Igbos. AN IGBO MAN IS AN IGBO MAN.

In my opinion, I don't even think fighting for the Presidency is worth it, we should be talking about developing Ala Igbo to be a world class economy and not falling for this political scheme by these politicians, who are doing this for their benefit. A world class economy would allow us have massive leverage, which in turn would allow us dictate the flow of the tide.

An Igbo man with sense!

Political appointment in Nigeria don't come with tribe but with the Geo political zones
So give to SE what belongs to them and SS what belongs to them
Some mischievous Yoruba and Fulani are at it again
Only the gullible Igbos (from SS and SE) will fall for their scheme
When two fulanis are appointed you wont hear they are fulanis but rather Aminu from Adamawa n/e and Sadiq from kano n/w
But if you appoint one Emeka is Emeka from Igbo as if Igbo na state abi geopolitical zone

Actually he's very correct. The only Igbos in the South South who constantly deny their Igbk ancestry are the Igbos from Ika (Anioma) and the Ikwerres (although some are pro Igbos). I am from Etche in Rivers State, and in my place and the neighboring Omuma we hardly deny our Igbo ancestry.
I am from Delta and there are lot of igbo speaking group here who claim to be of a distinct tribe.

I am also from Rivers. My point isn't about robbing the South East but him implying Igbos. He would have simply said that the position should be zoned to the South East without adding Igbos to the sentence, because this will further detoriate the rocky relationship between the South South Igbos and South East Igbos.

I get what you are saying, but what you should understand is that the idea of giving presidency to igbo from Delta or rivers is a deliberate plot of the northerners to deprive the south east of the presidency, and further caused for division in the south entirely

Politicians should go and rest abeg, left for me what we need right now as a nation is restructuring ,the earlier we accept and believe that politicians will never give us a better nation the better for us all ,the permutations favours only the politicians, my igbo brothers is only restructuring or division that will favour us, not president.

No, he should be distinct. We are already trying to mend the bad blood between the various Igbo clans, so he should be very clear by stating the South East and Igbo, when making such statements.
You will have to first recognize the right of those in the south South to choose their identity before building bridges.

So there are Igbo people in Edo state.

Probably he is refering to IGBANKE !

The other day the Alafin was also refering to Yoruba in Edo state.

Maybe the Alafin was refering to Akoko Edo area, Sabogida Ora, which is one of the oldest local government area in Nigeria.

I know that there are a lot of yoruba cocoa migrant farmers in Akoko Edo area but I am shocked to hear the Alafin making yoruba claim to Edo state.

Ijaw people are also laying claim to Edo state coastal waters such as Gelegele ports and Ovia River area.

Other regions are just laying claim to territory in Nigeria just like the fulani

Even Ex-President Donald Trump was so greedy that he want to buy Greenland with its capital in Nuuk and add it to the United States but the Danish government refuse to sell their colony to America.

Humanity is very greedy.

If I bear an English name, I should not be forced to accept being British
Rubbish
English is an international language and they are colonial masters who spread their language and names through colonization.
Mind you, those bearing English names don't speak English as their mother tongue. So your comparison is flawed
Igbos did not colonize anybody can you then explain how the igbo names came about and also igbo being their mother tongue as I have explained that of the English

If you are answering igbo names and your mother tongue is igbo, then you are igbo, whether you deny or not. Other nigerians see you as Igbo. You people should stop being stupid by denying your heritage for political reasons. Mtchew

I get your point!

The plot would be evident when they go for some person that never in his life identified as Igbo! Just like they went for this Irabor dude, and now want to make it look like we're being unkind and divisive towards our kinsfolk across the Niger! Setting the cat amongst the pigeons with regards to Igbo unity is their stock-in-trade!

If they pick people like Okonjo-Iweala or Pat Utomi, i doubt any Igbo would have a problem! But the way they think....any Igbo supported by Ndigbo is a strict no-no! They would rather go for people like Joe Igbokwe, Kalu or Igbo deniers like Wike, and this is where the plot would become self-evident!

Don't be clever by half.

If "South South" was Fulani invented, that means "South East" was also Fulani invented. Mind you the present Delta and Edo States were part of Western Region.

You are totally right my good brother..
South east as an acronym is the invention of fulani army officers. At independence, the only generally acceptable regional groupings were; the north, the West and the East... Following popular demands, after a referendum, the southern cameroons left the east to join their kins in Cameroon while Midwest left the west to establish a distinct political identity! There were muted agitation for the middle belt and some murmurings for the COR, but non materialized before the brutes in uniform took over and started slicing everything whimsically as they liked... So the borders of present day groupings are not borne out of either referendums or electoral decisions but basically were creations if some intellectually starved uniformed buffoons in power..

I am Igbo from Anambra but the concept that Igbos outside South East Geo political zone is not fully Igbos is nonsense. It shows that rotational Presidency, people think will solve some problems bedeviling our political system will not solve a thing. We just need a detribalised, non-religious bigot and also a performer at any point in time in this country even if it means the people coming from the same political zone and the same religion at every time. The only problem is that that dream is almost a mirage in this country

Can a Yoruba from kwara or Kogi take political position reserved for South West?
Can South South allow someone from South East to take something reserved for their zone?

Its possible.

In politics there are many surprises.
A black man obama became president of america.
An unbalanced individual like trump became american president.

Many people said it uncountable times that buhari could never be president. Now he is about to finish his second term.
