Ive been doing the same V8 for a long while, no issues. I have a lot of friends/customers doing the V8 too, none of us will settle for anything lower anymore.

It will be nice when you make these comments, you add something like "my opinions though". Don't make the comments like you're the absolute authority and you've just spoken the absolute truth.

Thanks

I would have thought my saying "I wouldn't" would cover your opinion above. My comment on the v8 was specifically on the car he asked about. This is 2021. please read to understand not criticize. Thanks.

That same car you're talking about is what I'm talking about too, or do you need picture proofs now ehn?

This is 2021 too, sometimes you pass on some questions too, you don't know it all.

Alright let's do this.

Over the past year I have gradually reduced my giving advice on NL to almost zero. Why? Because I realized that I'm educating people for free and getting spat on for it. You being the latest example. When a question is asked that "cc's" me along with NL "gurus", I don't waste my time any more because they will argue with you like you don't know what you're saying then weeks later you see them using your knowledge. It happened with the AC "experts" here first, then the engine "experts" then the emissions "experts". Argued me into the ground then started using my methods LMAO.

From Mercedes thread to Ford thread to BMW thread to Lexus thread the amount of misinformation is laughable. A bunch of youtube watchers who think technical terms in a steady stream make them look knowledgeable. And unfortunately, it works with the average car owner who knows nothing about cars.

Since you asked, YES, WE ARE AUTHORITIES ON THIS. You do not build a multi-million dollar empire for over 30 years by not being an authority. You are certainly not the topic of discussion at international conferences if you are not an authority. And a 150 year old franchise does not bring incompetent people on board as area developers. The fact that I chose to bring it to Nigeria instead of keeping it in America was simply about love not necessity so don't get it twisted.

I have been content to sit, read and laugh with Glen at the advice I see given here. At the end of the day, a lot of the cars will find their way to me when their owners are tired and want actual lasting solutions to their problems.

So please sir, again this is 2021. I am done dealing with the condescension of amateurs. I implore you to do what I have been doing for the better part of a year and when you see a question directed to me and you don't like my answer, waka pass me and quote the asker with your opinion not me. Free knowledge handouts will only go directly to the owners of the car when they come to me. No more free school for the NL "experts". Be advised that I will ignore any of you or other "experts" responses.

Have a GREAT day.

You had to go on and start bragging about your pockets again yeah?

This is 2021 like you said, sometimes just ignore some questions, I and a lot of my guys have been using this same S80 V8 for a long while here and it's been a joy till date, every other English you spoke up there is just posturing.

Don't drive people away from their dream cars because you have 1000years experience. Thanks too

Modified : if almost everyone is picking a fight with you like you claim, then maybe you get yourself checked. Maybe you are the problem angry

This is for Val and Madam Rad
Why is Val reading to comment and not understand.
She clearly stated “I would not do” wch shows it’s personal considering traffic, fuel quality etc.
Moreso, anyone buying v8 should have a mind that fuel consumption is not a factor to be considered for such machine.
Val hates any thing that seeks to affect his Volvo sale but I would have expected Val to state clearly average consumption based on his usage and experience to negate her position.
As matured pple I expect we engage intelligently to educate others not to expose our weakness.
When she gave u pass mark for Volvo, u liked the post but a post against v8 Dey make u vex.
Car dealer wey get experience in vehicle that is good, affordable and maintenance friendly is different from mechanic wey they tear vehicle apart.
They will definitely see things differently.
Also, person wey Dey work from home and drives v8 only on wknd can’t be compare to someone that moves everyday in Lagos traffic(except the pocket is huge), even at that, stress to kill am. Heavy machine are “better suited” for long distance travel.

Let’s learn to tolerate one another throwing jabs is not necessary.
Val, continue to give us good alternatives to Toyota and madam rad, continue to provide ur opinion.

Wrongest move. They're not suited for such. Their suspensions and chassis alignment will suffer.

Valarinz and his often hilarious Volvo inferiority complex

The guy is always in attack mode in defence of that swedish pile of electrical doom, which is understandable, afterall who would not defend their source of livelihood

radautoworks is no different, really, always seeks to insert herself into situations completely unrelated to her

In this context though, Valarinz failed to understand, and made ignorance fueled comments

Let me get this straight. Someone asked me a direct question but it was unrelated to me. Okay then.

Sorry had to do this right in the middle, but you see that moniker you just replied, mark it and do good to totally ignore him next time no matter how hard he tries to rile you up.

Probably an alternate for someone I'm suspecting but have no real proof at the moment but if you doubt me, check him out and see, all he does is Insert himself everywhere and seek attention and make trouble. Starve him of that attention pls

Thanks

It's a solid ride, if for site works why not go for XC70 instead, it's got more rugged suspensions

Volvo XC90 2005 - 2006 models - buy the one with T5 engine

Volvo XC90 2007 models and above - buy the one with 6cyl 3.2l engine.

My personal preference will be the 07 above models anyways, they're less stresful to maintain.

Most important thing is to acquire a healthy unit, please concentrate on that.

Goodluck
How about the S60? Which engine variant is reliable?

Buy it. They're safe, reliable and comfortable. Parts are not an issue because unless you buy one that was abused you won't need them. Just routine maintenance grin
I hear praises everywhere for the XC90, what of the S60?

Hello guys,

I checked the engine oil of my XC 90 this morning(which i rarely do) and found out that its dried up. No single oil on deep stick. What could have caused this and do i do to prevent this from happening again? What engine oil would be okay this car?

Thanks

What year model and engine type is your car?

As for oil, Volvo recommends Castrol. 5W30 or 5W40 will do.

Check for physical signs of spillage on the floor and undet the engine body
