Silhouette means the shape or outline of an object filled in with a solid colour.

As its name implies, the Silhouette Challenge is achieved with the adoption of red light. The concept is quite simple. It involves posing in a doorway, dressed up and dancing to Paul Anka’s ‘Put Your Head on My Shoulder’ and then suddenly turning yourself into a dark silhouette against a red background dancing to 'Streets' by Doja Cat.

The challenge which started on TikTok has spread like wildfire across virtually every social media including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc.

The hashtag #silhouettechallenge has already had a huge 91 million views on the app, and it’s gone viral in a matter of days.

The Silhouette Challenge is all about stripping naked under a filter.

I was on a WhatsApp group when someone shared compilation of the #SilhouetteChallenge i was shocked on the extremity people especially women can go. Some videos are not properly filtered cos i literally saw their unclothedness.

Before i know it my Facebook friends are also posting theirs and a microcosm on their WhatsApp status.
