Oozz2:When we're still building roofed houses, your fathers are living in thatched houses. That's the description of early civilization |

ThatFairGuy1:Sharap there. Go to London and see if u will find brown roof there. People that started using aluminum even before first boats carrying missionaries birthed in africa. Having brown roof does not mean early civilization, it mean Poverty. |

ab11baddo:Sharap there. Go to London and see if u will find brown roof there. People that started using aluminum even before first boats carrying missionaries birthed in africa. Going by ur warped reasoning, it means Britons and other mighty cities were living in bushes since there re no brown roofs there. Having brown roof does not mean early civilization, it mean Poverty. |

Oozz2:You're Ignoramus. The first set of zinc in Nigeria is that stainless that rust after a decade. When we're roofing with stainless roofs then, you're living under thatched houses |
| Re: Idanre Hills - An Ancient Civilization On Top Of A Rock by Nobody: 6:37am On Jan 30, 2021 |
ThatFairGuy1:Stop shifting goal post. Brown roof is not sophistication. It is poverty. U can only deceive ur father. |

Xpol:Bro.... you sound real dumb. Since you know it all.... why didn't you create a thread? Shouldn't you be happy someone else did?... a visitor? ... and instead of correcting mistakes in a civilised manner here you are insulting the OP. What have we learned from you? Bro... you have nothing of value to add to a thread....abeg... keep your face closed. @ topic ... interesting. Was first wondering why only 5 persons..... social distancing?... then I saw the other tourist guide ! Was hoping to learn about the steps.... were they built by the residents? No doubt..... the stone work is from the 1900's... but feel the dates and buildings not matching..... the roofs are relatively modern. I'm also not feeling the story about why they moved down....why no residences? Only court house... school... prison... seems like up the hill was the business center. Th rocks... one big one reminds me of Asso Rock... with your naked eyes... does it? Do continue sharing your trips..... following. ' |

Thanks for standing up , I have learnt not to take these things to heart. I did this journey early last year, i did 6 states and over 30 cities in one week. I was on the move from cities to cities and only one or two days in each state. So I guess that's where the mix up came from. Plus I actually chatteres a taxi going to Akure who later took me to Idanre. I guess he loved my lagos vibe. That was where the mix up came from. Anyways thanks for standing up for me. It's sad that some Nigerian is just angry for no reason online. Now I now understand what celebrities go through. People will just naturally hate you when they presume you are living a better life. Is quite sad. I take time in creating my content , I hate intruding into people's privacy. I go at odd hours where they will be few people. Like visiting a tourist attraction on a Monday or very early in the morning. I don't like capturing other people in my video. I just believe in respecting other people's privacy Originalsly: |

Most of the old houses are on top of the hills it's different from the pictures you are seeing below , the pictures before are down the hills while the mud houses are up hill

|

travelwaka:Woow! Ain't condemning you, boss, you did a job well done. 6 states within a week, it must be really stressful. |

Xpol:What warrants this? Na wa o. So much frustration in the country, we understand, but stop channeling it towards others. Politeness does not cost you a thing. Travelwaka, please just ignore all the abusive comments and carry on with your great and informative threads. We are all learning everyday. |

I understand my sister , these things do not even get to me. Sometimes people just need a place to vent their anger. It's all good. tot: |

tot:In Nigeria we believe everything is normal. He got some scraps online and started his normal copy and paste and you guys were praising him. He can be sued for that trash if it’s in a more civilized country cos it’s a big insult by saying someone’s town is a street inside another town. This guy has never visited the place as claimed cos the hill is several kilometers from Akure. You people supporting him are just supporting laziness |
| Re: Idanre Hills - An Ancient Civilization On Top Of A Rock by Xpol: 5:31am On Feb 01, 2021 |
Whatever you’re not so sure of, stop spreading it online and still be claiming to be a guru. Simple google search can save you from landing yourself into trouble sometimes and when you copy and paste try to indicate that and give credit to the original owner and stop claiming a world class explorer when you haven’t left your bedroom |

Xpol:So to you it is normal to be rude? No one is saying the info can't be corrected but do so in a civil manner, it's not that hard. Rudeness is not a part of the Yoruba culture so I'm surprised when I see comments like yours. |
| Re: Idanre Hills - An Ancient Civilization On Top Of A Rock by tot(f): 8:38am On Feb 01, 2021 |
travelwaka:Just don't mind them. People find it easy to sit and be criticizing those who are actually making things happen. |
| Re: Idanre Hills - An Ancient Civilization On Top Of A Rock by Xpol: 6:13pm On Feb 01, 2021 |
tot:no apology I'm from idanre and I find it as a big insult for him to say my hometown is a street in another Town in fact I felt like giving him a slap |
