AbdulJabbar1:The crypt0 space has def grown Given betece brutalised altys for almost 3 months, I expected the alt season to last at upto 2 months... If betece can get above 40k, and eith to around 2k and hold, then another alt cycle starts.... Last last, oil go reach everybody hand... Just need to be in front of the moves |

This Dogecoin_ and Xrp_ fiasco is not doing crypto any favors. And it's a shame that someone of Elon Musk's status will be a PnD actor. The guy will post on his Twitter then sit back and laugh while masses follow the pump, next thing he will offload. Dude has gone off twitter now. The sheer number of people that this bullrun will ruin, at the end SEC will justifiably blacklist all cryptocurrencies. Maybe na CIA inside job sef. |

I just want to share testimony this morning. I bought xrp at N210 yesterday evening hoping that it would do a second surge before midnight. Thankfully, my eyes was on the market and I quickly exited at N199. I was offline from that time till this morning; only to see my dear xrp at 178. I'd have lost much more if I hadn't exited that time. Like our bosses here always say, timing your entry and exit is very important in this unforgiving market. As a newbie, one thing I've understood is you are bound to loss and gain but make sure you cut your losses quickly. Don't allow the heavy bags be dumped on you when the big whales decide to leave the party. A big shout out to everyone who continue to selflessly contribute to this thread. Una too much! |

AbdulJabbar1:Good advice... I struggle with taking profits sometimes but getting better at it... Once I sell, I look away Betece runs the market. Thanks for reminding me... I had to add it up. It messed some of my altys up last 3 months... Some trade to stack more betece, some more fiat... I trade for the fiat. |

ModelX:Hehe... You're so 2013... 2017 was a bubble just like the dot-com bubble of year 2000. Those internet companies later grew into multi billion dollar companies in the coming years making tgeir bubble prices seem like a joke. Ssme also, this space has matured past the bubble with lots more money and confidence in the market. Now people and companies are confident to hold betece as a long-term store of value Crypt0 was banned in the US at a time. Now they are in charge of the market, recognise it as legitimate income and insist one must pay tax on profits made. FYI, U.S companies heavy investment in betece helped push this bullrun. More companies are rushing in. PayPal now allows US customers buy crypt0 in app same like our own piggyvest If you're talking about volatility, the U.S stock market has been more volatile than crypt0 this year. With every bullrun comes scams and if you got caught in doge, then its absolutely your fault. We tell folks like you to buy betece or eith but no.. na doge una want |
| Re: Crypto Currency Investors Thread by Sailor1: 11:39am On Feb 02, 2021 |
Jmandotcom:Hmmm... You guys are taking what happened in exrp and doge as the essence of this space. Thats not it.. Like Chinua Achebe said, it's like living on the bank of the Niger and washing your hands with spittle. If all you're interested in this space is the quick pumps ot a few coins, then frankly speaking, you've missed 99% of it cos that's where money is lost not made. If at all, I allocate at most 1-3 % of my portfolio on such |

Sailor1:2 questions. Can we buy this coins at current price for hold or it will still retract. Also, when you say you take profit. Do you mean you sold part of the coin leaving the worth of what you entered with. Or you sold outright and move to another seemingly under dog? |
| Re: Crypto Currency Investors Thread by AbdulJabbar1: 12:19pm On Feb 02, 2021 |
ModelX:LOOOL he didn’t become a billionaire by considering what was best for the masses... Nor does he make cars or devices that are affordable for the masses either... Any investor knows it’s a doggy dog world... Someone has to lose for the other to win |

| Re: Crypto Currency Investors Thread by Sailor1: 12:33pm On Feb 02, 2021 |
kolagbemi:For number 1, frankly speaking, I cant tell. It's like going to the park and asking if the last bus that left would return. It may, it may not. I don't advise buying into green candles but sometimes I do if I think the potential upside is significant. For instance, I am not so bothered buying eith at its current price cos I know when it runs, it would not matter if I bought at 1300 or 1400... If eith wasn't moving, then I'd say to wait for entries but now there seems to be a market wide breakout and if eith continues up, they'd likely follow. Practically, what you could do is to look for those who haven't moved much with significant potential upside and sitting on support. Alternatively, you could enter on a flip of previous resistance. 2. It depends on the pulse of the market. sometimes, I sell part of my stash to fiat and wait for a dip to reenter same coin. If I think it's done moving for a while, I might just exit my whole position or leave a small part just incase it keeps moving. Reentering other coins depend on the way the market looks. On a green day like this moreso after the microcap run last week, id rather move to fiat except I identify a potential good breakout. Cos when the marked pullsback, I'd get better entries on coins that have not moved On other days when there are early runners, I swap. Allso, sometimes I make a quick trade to increase my eith or betece stash.. Its tricky I'd five u an examle.. Last week I sold part of my uni and later the rest at 19.5 from my 5.1 entry a month ago. Seeing that micros were poppin and that betece would likely continue up, I waited and took entries on eith, zil, vet and atom. Obviously, those entries are in profit while Uni hovering around 18.5 and seems to be distributing. It may still run more but I'm not bothered. On another day, I might just have left profits in cash if betece was showing weakness. in summary, taking profit in a basic way is selling part or all after a big move. What you do with what you sold can go several ways |
| Re: Crypto Currency Investors Thread by kolagbemi(m): 12:33pm On Feb 02, 2021 |
Gobengroup:You have to understand, Market Order, limit Order and Stop-limit/ Stop-loss first. A market order is an order to quickly buy or sell at the best available current price. A limit order is an order that you place on the order book with a specific limit price. The limit price is determined by you. So when you place a limit order, the trade will only be executed if the market price reaches your limit price (or better). Therefore, you may use limit orders to buy at a lower price or to sell at a higher price than the current market price. You have to have a projected price you want to sell or buy as the case may be. A Stop-loss is an order placed to stop your loss if price fall below a particular price. Under OCO Stop-limit does the work of Stop-loss. An OCO, or “One Cancels the Other” order allows you to place two orders at the same time. It combines a limit order, with a stop-limit order, but only one of the two can be executed. OCO allow you to set a price you are projecting to sell and make profit, then it goes further to allow you set another order called Stop-limit should your projection be wrong and price retracted before reaching the projected profit price, it will sell off and not go down with the price. Remember, my Oga @Sailor1 have said it all....if you enter the market at the right time, you don't need a Stop-loss..just continue to take profit. Be careful with the confidence OCO gives you. It can make you loose on good runs or make you stagnant. Especially if you are a goat like me. |

Please I noticed a pattern.. don't know whether it's correct or not. The other day dogge made a bull run, b.tc moved up the following morning before settling back. This morning as well, eith and b.tc made some upward movements again. Is there a correlation between these pattern of movements? Could it be that people divert funds they made from massive alt coins bull runs to buy more btc. Or what could be responsible for the pattern and should such be expected further? It could help one make better decisions along the way. I'm just a curious newbie. Thanks for your response in advance. |
