Kano gov’t bans fiery Islamic cleric, Abduljabbar Kabara, shuts his mosque

The Kano State Government has banned a controversial Islamic cleric, Abduljabbar Nasiru Kabara, from sermon in the state over alleged inciting preaching.

The government also ordered the closure of his mosque located in Gwale area in the heart of Kano city.

Mr Kabara, a factional leader Qadiriyya sect in Kano, is famous for controversial religious commentaries, and has been accused of insulting the companions of Holy Prophet Muhammad.

The cleric has been at dagger-drawn with Sunni Muslim clerics in the state for a longtime for his hardline stance against Sunni practices and his subscription to Shiite practices.

Announcing the decision, the state commissioner for Information, Muhammad Garba, told journalists on Wednesday that the decision became imperative in order to maintain peace in the state.

Kano government banned cleric, Abduljabbar Kabara from preaching over inciting comments in the state.

According to him, the state government has ordered the state commissioner of police and other security agencies to ensure compliance to the government’s decision.

When a particular religion oversee a government, it is hard for it to think outside the box.

Kano is gradually becoming an Islamic state. Damh !!!! Government fighting for Allah and Muhammad, simply because he castigate them in his teaching ! No be lie !!!

- Sharia court now give verdict base on Islamic rules.
- Hisbah, are use to keep Islamic laws.
- None Islamic activities are band.

With time Christianity would be band too. Islamizing the country has just began.

I believe that Shiite must be the GENUINE brand of Islam (which is why the Nigerian majority Muslims are against them). If a people who maintain a complicit silence while killer herders are on a rampage are against you, then, you must be the genuine one. Even, looking at the man's face, you will immediately see that he looks quite different positively from the average Nigerian Muslim.
