The ones that were called "sweepers" during the civil war. Typically had long hair that covered their eyes. Basically they operated behind the normal Nigerian army. When the regular Nigerian army had taken a location, these Gwodo Gwodo came in and "swept" everything in their part. In fact some kind hearted Nigerian Army soldiers used to warn villagers to run away and not come back after x amount of days because the Gwodo Gwodo were foreigners who spoke no English and killed anything that moved apart from women whom they raped first.

When I was younger my teachers told me about gwodo gwodo. Scary ish. These guys are of the same ilk as Janja. Altho janja them na Baggara/Shuwa stock and more eastward in the Sudan.
